The next day Regulus had received a howler from a very unimpressed Orion Black, his father. He had received a bill regarding a very expensive ring. He shouted about how him and his mother hadn't even met 'the girl' he would be marrying and that they were very unimpressed with his actions. The letter scolding Regulus finished with the fact they were to cut him off from his own family's fortune, leaving him penniless.
"At least I haven't been burned off of the family tapestry like Sirius" He chuckled nervously, rubbing at the back of his neck.
"Guess you're gonna have to be my sugar mummy for a while" He joked.
"You mean Euphemia will be" I laughed as Regulus grimaced at the thought of the mother-like figure in that way.
I held my hand out in front of us and admired the beautiful ring that now sat on my left ring finger.
"Definitely worth becoming a poor lad for" He grinned at the sight.
I turned my head towards him and placed a soft kiss to his lips before jumping out of the bed, nearly falling to the floor, fully naked. He tried to grab at my waist but I pulled away from him throwing clothes from his dresser towards him.
"We're going to get up and go tell all of our friends, I don't think I can handle you again so soon" I bit my lip at the memory of the night before.
"Fine" He rolled his eyes and scoffing playfully, getting up from the bed and began to dress himself.
"I was thinking a summer wedding, so I can wear a really sexy dress for you" I winked in his direction.
"You would look sexy in a paper bag" He chuckled as he pulled on a pair of socks.
We made our way to the Great Hall and entered through the already opened large doors. We made our way towards our very chatty group of Slytherin friends, including Xenophilius and Dorcas.
Perfect, everyone was here.
"Hey- woah what is that on your hand!" Pandora looked deeply towards the large stone decorating finger.
The girls all jumped from the bench and rushed towards me, holding my hand in view to take a look at the green gem. Regulus snaked his hands around my waist, setting his chin on my shoulder to sneak another look at the ring adoring my slightly tanned hand.
"You finally did it mate?" Evan stepped on top of the bench and walked across the table and jumping down onto the other side, followed by Xenophilius.
"Why didn't you tell me he was going to propose?" Lillian slapped the boys arm, causing him to grab at the spot with a hurt expression.
"He only bought the ring a week ago, I didn't realise he would do it so soon" Evan whined.
"I did have an elaborate plan but I decided last night was perfect timing seeing you in that... condition" He whispered into my ear causing a blush to take place on my face.
"A lot of people are getting married at the minute with the war and all. I heard Alice Fortesque married the Longbottom boy a few weeks ago" Dorcas mentioned as she studied the ring.
"So when are you and Amos gonna get a shift on" Regulus bantered.
"No way, you and Diggory?" Pandora beamed.
"Walked in on the pair last month didn't we, fiancé" I playfully smacked at the boys arm as he attempted to embarrass our friend.
"He hasn't even asked me to be his girlfriend, never mind marry him" She rolled her eyes but suddenly her eyes went wide, she dropped my hand and ran from the hall.
