"This way" Regulus pulled my hand towards the restricted section of the library.

We were both seventeen which meant there were endless possibilities for the both of us, one of them being we could now enter the restricted section freely without a professors permission. Going against the Order we decided to look into these 'Horcruxes' in an attempt to find out why my father needed one guarded by poison.

The Order had insisted we not look into the matter further as my father had the locket heavily guarded by the sounds of what Kreacher had told Regulus. The group against Voldemort insisted that it wasn't a priority, they needed to defeat him first and would start to investigate other matters such as this.

Me and Regulus both came to the agreement that for my father to guard something with such force it must be important and vital towards his downfall.

We spent the entire evening on Wednesday after my Transfiguration class searching through every single book regarding the dark arts and we came up with nothing so we decided to re-visit again on Thursday evening.

We sat on the floor skimming through an excessive amount of books which resulted in us being surrounded by piles and still came up with nothing until I noticed something at the very top of a bookcase that sat against the wall.

I stood up and brought the rolling ladder over to the section where I had notice a piece of metal glimmer in the candle-light. I started to climb the ladder as Regulus so inquisitively stared up my school skirt with a smile on his face.

"Are you going to sit there staring at my knickers or are you going to hold the ladder in place for me so I don't fall" I threw a thin book at him.

"I guess I could take a closer look" He smirked as he shot up from the ground and held onto the ladder so it wouldn't shift, taking a closer look up my skirt just as he had said.

I moved a few books to the side when I noticed a small trapped door at the back of the case. I pointed my wand towards it and whispered 'Alohamora'. The latch clicked and creaked open slightly.

I opened the little wooden door fully to reveal a very old beaten up book. I pulled the book from the little opening and shut the latched door, returning back to the floor with it in my hand.

"I don't understand, we had already read this book yesterday, it mentioned barely anything about Horcruxes" I breathed heavily in defeat at the book written by Godelot.

"Of the Horcrux, wickedest of magical inventions, we shall not speak nor give direction" I recited the same line I read from 'Magick Moste Evile' to Regulus the day before. Careful not to slam the book this time as the night before it shrieked very loudly in response.

"Wait, what's that" He muttered before I closed the book fully.

He took it from my hands and turning a piece of the books parchment over it shown an extra page that had been torn out from another book and placed into this one.

'Secret's of the Darkest Art by Owle Bullock' it read at the top of the page.

Reg snorted into his fist as he read the name of the author which I responded my slapping at his arm. He coughed into his hand to stifle the laugh and returned back to being serious. So mature.

'In order to save ones souls from death, they must take the life of another willingly, splitting their own soul into two and stored into an object'

We read the page with wide eyes, it was basically a step by step on how to create a Horcrux. From what I had just read I had came to the realisation my father had stored a piece of his soul in the locket and that's why he had it guarded so intensely, using the Black family house-elf to test it really worked.
