I had quite some time until winter break, although I couldn't help but worry. Regulus had sent word to his brother via owl but we are still yet to hear back.
The day was Tuesday and it was only the day before I had found out about my impending doom of a wedding. I got dress, once again attempting to cover all of my body. I had gathered enough courage to wear a skirt but I chose to pair some tights underneath today.
I let let my natural curls fall down my back as my fingers traced the thin silver chain around my neck. I couldn't help but feel a smile creep onto my face at the sight of the silver band.
"You fancy him, don't you?" I heard Pandora practically gleaming from across the dorm.
"Fancy is a strong word" I scoffed at her.
She shot me a giggle back as I stared into the mirror, still in a trance about how Regulus Black could be so kind until Pands snapped me out of it.
"Chop chop, we have a lesson to attend" She ushered me out of the room quickly.
She always just had to be on time.
We made our way quickly towards lesson as we were close to running late and barged through the large wooden doors as everyone was settling into their seats.
We rushed towards the back table where Ambrosia, Lillian and Regulus were already seated. The second Regulus' eyes met the chain dangling from my neck his mouth perked up into a smile.
One look at Amber and I could already tell she had figured out why he was smiling towards me as her eyes darted from his still bruised hands towards the ring hung from my neck.
She became furious.
"The whole time we were dating you wouldn't even allow me to leave your dorm with one of your shirts and she gets felt up and you give her a ring!" She near shouted towards him, earning herself a slap on the arm from Lillian.
"Because I didn't like you, Parkinson." He responded flatly, in which made me chuckle.
Amber picked up her bag abruptly and moved to a desk in front of us, shoving a very confused Amos Diggory over to get a seat.
I nudged Regulus, hiding our giggles very poorly, earning us an intense death stare from Ambrosia.
"She needs to take another one of those euphoria voles, maybe she'd stop being such a fucking cunt" Pandora commented, which earned a very surprised look from the three of us.
"I think that's the first time I've ever heard you use a 'naughty word'" I laughed towards her and she shrugged with a smirk plastered on her face.
Lesson dragged but eventually it had ended. Slughorn gave us a bunch of revision to do in our spare time which would definitely help with tutoring Regulus as he had already copied out all of the text books in my previous detentions.
We collectively decided to skip lunch today. It was that awful haggis that McGonagall insisted on having added to the schools menu. Me, Regulus, Pandora and Lillian headed back to the dorm to start revising the work load we had just been given.
Lillian insisted she join us as she simply couldn't be arsed having to deal with a sulky Ambrosia today. I knew her patience was started to wear thin the second Amber used my situation with Barty as an argument in lesson.
We filed into the dorm, all taking seats at the ends of our beds, Regulus sat on the ground leaning on the foot of my own bed. Out we took our parchment, ink and quills and got to work.
"Does anyone have the answers for what happens when in contact with a wound-cleaning potion?" Regulus asked but was soon cut off as the door flung open.
