"In the bathroom. Really? We all take our showers in there" James buried his head in his hands as we were all sat at the dining table, being reprimanded like children.

"You and Lily do it all the time" Peter whispered loudly enough for us all to turn our heads towards James and Lily.

"Shut up, Wormtail. It's our house" James scoffed.

"I didn't just cum all over the place, you know" Regulus blurted, which earned him a smack on the arm from me, face planting onto the table.

"That's disgusting" Sirius scowled, covering his ears a second too late.

"Keep it to the bedroom, or better yet, how about not at all" James suggested which caused me and Regulus both to snort.

"You guys are only a year or two older than us, we aren't children" I smirked towards the table.

"Well in our eyes you're like a little sister. So please never let us see that again" Remus chuckled.

The notion caused a genuine smile to tug at my lips. I had only known these people for a few days and I felt more at home with them than my actual family.

"Speaking of, we wanted to propose the idea of adoption." Lily blurted, which I looked at the two in shock.

"Surely the ministry wouldn't allow a couple of nineteen year olds to adopt a seventeen year old" I lightly giggled.

"Um, no actually, they wouldn't. We've spoken to my parents and mum's over the moon with you around. As a group we can already see she looks at you like a daughter so she's argued her case with dad and if you're happy enough they'd like to adopt you." James smiled towards me as he rushed his words.

"That sounds amazing, but what about Reg? His parents are no better than my father" I questioned.

"He will be eighteen before he takes his N.E.W.T's so he's free to stay with me and Remus when we get our own place, we've been looking" Sirius replied, throwing an arm around the boy next to him and planting a kiss to his head.

"You guys haven't even made it official yet and you're already looking at houses?" Marlene turned around in her seats to look at the boys stood up.

"He asked me to be his boyfriend last night" Remus smiled ear to ear while turning pink.

"That's amazing guys! We're all so happy for you" Lily beamed, standing from her chair to give them a group hug.

Peter was looking at mine and Regulus' happiness as if he had been shot in the heart. As soon as he noticed my attention had been drawn to him he faked a cough and stood from his chair.

"I'm just gunna go take a walk" He muttered to the group and exited the home.

"Wormtail's not a fan of Regulus apparently" James chuckled.

"It's because he fancies Green bean, it's so obvious" Marlene piped up.

Regulus' face turned into a scowl as he gripped his hand around mine at the thought of another boy liking me. I shot him a reassuring smile which in turn softened his expression as he placed a peck on my lips.

"If he touches you, I'll kill him" He leaned his forehead onto mine.

"I know" I whispered back to him with a tight smile.

"You guys haven't go anything to worry about, it's wormtail we're talking about here" Remus chuckled as he overheard the conversation between us.

We travelled by floo from the Potter Manor to the Ministry of Magic several days later. The order received intel after the attack that my father and his followers had gone into hiding so we were safe to travel for a short time.
