Broken Promises

Chapter 11:Alpha Alan POV

Alpha Alan was furious that his pack members were attacked by the Blue Moon pack the only thing stopping him from declaring war is that the Pack's Alpha, Daniel had no idea that his members were going out attacking innocent wolves and once he heard he was enraged and had every wolf involved sent to their pack jail to await punishment.

When in the pack hospital Alpha Alan stopped the head doctor as she passed by, "I want to be informed the minute she wakes up." Alpha Alan said to the Doctor who is in charge of Kayleigh's care. "Yes Alpha, of course I will." The Doctor said before giving him a smile and continuing down the hallway.

Alan's Beta, Sam  came around the corner spotting the Alpha deep in though. "Hey how is she doing?" 

"Uh, they got her stabilised, but still not awake yet her body shut down so she could heal faster. I just don't understand why they were so far away from pack territory they know better especially Justin." Alan rubbed his hand down his face clearly exhausted from the fight and worry of the Omega. 

"I am going to get some rest, I told the Doctor to let me know whenever she is awake can you escort the other two home please and make sure they don't leave their rooms until I say so." 

"Yes of course Alpha, how are they anyway?" The Beta asks the tired looking Alpha. "They had healed fine from their injuries, Kayleigh on the other hand was injected with 100MG of wolfbane before being bitten. 

The doctors had to resuscitate her four times and  flush the wolfbane out of her system three times before getting enough out for her body to start to heal."  Sam shakes his head in disbelief muttering the words "fuck under his breath."  

"Yeah, another 50mg  or not flushing out the wolfbane as fast as the doctors did she would of died. Get some rest Sam, you look the way I feel." Alan laughs when his Beta mouths the words fuck off. 

Sam and Alan walk out of the pack hospital together, but go their separate ways once in the pack house  to their room.

Since the fight the pack has been on high alert and security has been doubled everyone was told to not go out alone and if they need to run to stay on pack territory and go out in packs of ten.  

Jessica and Lilly injuries had healed within an hour of resting, but Kayleigh was still unconscious in the hospital as her body fights off the wolfbane to heal which will take her body a lot longer from the damage the poison did to her body.

"I need to see her." Lilly sobs in Jessica's arms while she rubs her back gently. "Alpha Alan told us no one but her parents can visit her until she is awake." Lilly lets out another cry not wanting to hear that she can't visit her "friend". 

"Once she is awake you and I can go visit her Lilly you know this, she is fine and in the best place for her no one will hurt her since Alpha Alan stepped up security everywhere." 

Lilly wiped her nose with the back end of her hand nodding at Jessica. " I know, but I feel so guilty she saved me Jess." Lilly sobs. 

"Shh, it's going to be okay, she is going to be okay Lil."  Jessica coos. 

Eventually Lilly stopped crying as she feel asleep in Jessica's arms. The Omega had released calming fermions to help calm the distressed Omega and it worked allowing Lilly to calm enough down to fall asleep.

Two weeks Kayleigh had been unconscious while her body healed from its injuries and for three days Alpha Alan was in a terrible mood. He was grilling the security harder, being harder on the fighters, training them eight hours a day with little breaks. 

The scouts were made to go out scouting for twelve hour shifts instead of their normal six hour shifts before changing. The hunters were told to hunt more often and for longer hours as well. The whole pack felt the tenseness of their Alpha and everyone was walking on egg shells around him.  

Alpha Alan was in the middle of training with the fighters when the Doctor had mind linked him that Kayleigh was awake. "Drew, please take over training for the rest of the day." 

Drew was an Alpha and he was put in charge as the head warrior who was in charge of the fighters  whenever Alpha Alan wasn't around. Drew nodded his head and took over the grilling drills that Alpha Alan was having the fighters do.

When Alan arrived at the pack hospital he was greeted by Kayleigh's parents as they just came out of her room. "How is she doing?" 

Kayleigh's dad, Martin looked at his Alpha with sad eyes, she's healing slower than expected, but she was awake long enough to have a drink of water and asked where she was. She doesn't remember the night of the fight either."  Alpha Alan pats Martin on the shoulder, "she is young and strong she'll pull through this Martin."

"What is being done about those responsible for doing this?" Kandace interrupts the two Alphas from their conversation. Alan turns to the distressed Omega, "I don't know the full details, but their Alpha Daniel has sentence them to prison to await their punishment. I don't know how their pack works so I can't tell you what that is unfortunately." 

Kandace lets out a angry grunt before walking past her Alpha and husband. Martin tried to stop her, but the Omega waved his hand away as she continued down the hallway. "Leave her Martin."

Martin nodded. "Okay, so what are we doing about the attacks."  Alan pulled Martin with him as they walked down the hallway going over everything that has been in place the past two weeks. So far no more attacks have happened and with tightened security no rogues have been able to cross pack territory. 

No underage wolves were ordered to be inside at dusk and those of age were ordered to go out in packs of ten and not wander to far from the pack and to especially not go past pack grounds. So far the rules have helped and everyone seems to be obeying them. 

When the pack found out about the attacks on the young wolves there were a mixture of anger, sadness and fear, so when the rules were put in place the pack easily followed the rules.

News got around fast that Kayleigh had waken up and it wasn't long before Jessica, Lilly and Justin were coming to Alpha Alan to ask about seeing the Omega. "She's too weak for visitors outside her family.

Besides her mother said she was only awake for five minutes before going back to sleep, so  you'll have to wait a little longer to go see your friend." Alpha Alan pointedly said to the young wolves.

"I need to see her though Alpha, I promise I won't disturbed her, I just need to see her." Lilly Sobbed.

The Alpha felt sorry for the poor Omega he quickly mind linked with Kayleigh's parents and the Doctor in charge of Kayleigh's care. 

"Five minutes Lilly that's all your getting." Alpha Alan said to the distressed Omega.

"Unfortunately you two will have to wait a little longer until she's healed more."  Jessica and Justin just nod and give Lilly a quick hug before she goes off with the Alpha to the hospital. 

"She's weak, but I think she can still hear you." The attending nurse said as Lilly walked into Kayleigh's room.

"Lilly, remember five minutes then you must leave." Alpha Alan said before leaving the Omega in the room alone. The attending nurse followed behind the Alpha.

Once Lilly was alone she sat down on the chair that was beside bed she took Kayleigh's hand into hers as tears silently fall from her face.

"I am so sorry this has happened to you. Please forgive me." Lilly leans in and places a soft kiss onto Kayleigh's forehead and whispers "I love you."
