Chapter 13

Dark P.O.V

I thought about our relationship quite a few times each day. I realized no one else will ever live up to what he's like to me. He's my everything, and my only everything. I wanted to be with him forever. Every touch electrified me and every kiss made me feel like I was... alive.

I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him, bound with him forever, but I wasn't sure he wanted to get, well, married. I was gonna ask though. I was readying myself for disappointment, but I was filled with hope nonetheless.

I went to go see Malon. Luckily, it was her day off. I set out to find a ring. I knew it was a little soon, but I was 99.999999999999999999% sure I was ready for this. We scoured Starlight Memories, also known as the Gerudo Jewelers, and found the most beautiful ring. It was silver with silver jewels inside. Around the biggest jewels were the hyrulian crest, maybe 3 or 4 times. (At the top)

Malon and I scraped together enough money to buy the ring, plus a cute box for it. I was so excited.

"I promise I'll pay you back!"

"Nah, hun. You don't have to. I'm sure I can get that money back pretty easily, 'specially considering we deliver now. I'm gon' watch you propose, that's my payment, 'mkay?"

That was good enough for me. Now, I just have to get it over with. But it has to be at the perfect place, at the perfect time.

I returned home and Link said he went to go buy something, meaning I had time alone to plan. This Friday night was gonna be a beautiful sunset, so we would go to Lurelin, and I would propose there. Perfect!

Link P.O.V

Dark came back and seemed happy.

"Ooo, what made Mr. depression happy?" He laughed.

"It's a surprise." I rolled my eyes.

"Oooof course it is. Anyway, time to play smash like you promised."

Tonight was the full moon. We packed up and got on Epona. Epona trusted me because Link did. I practically blindfolded Link so he didn't know where we were going. I know he could have figured out exactly where we were, but he chose not to.

I lifted him off Epona and told him to uncover his eyes. When he opened them, he saw all of our friends on the beach. Riju and Malon ran up and hugged us tight.

We settled in and got dressed for a "formal dinner". He dressed in some Harry Styles aesthetics and I just kinda gay-ified my outfit. We walked down to the beach and everyone was dressed pretty formally at their tables. We sat down at a specially decorated table and ordered. Good thing we both liked seafood cuz it's about all they had.

By the end of the dinner, everybody was turning their chairs to us, waiting. I sighed and stood up, checking my pocket to make sure the ring was still there. I lightly grabbed his hands and helped him up. Our fingers parted and I told him to close his eyes.

Everyone was here. Link's friends, my friends, hell, even our frogs.

I knelt down on one knee and pulled out the silk box.

"Alright, you can open your eyes." He gasped.

"Link, I know we haven't really been together for that long, but considering how long I've loved you, it's felt like an eternity. You only live once, might as well live it with your favourite person, right?" Tears were welling up in his eyes. "I've thought long and hard about this, and I've decided that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You are my everything; my love, my light... honestly, my life support. You're the reason I'm still alive, so I'm paying you back."

"Link, the love of my life... Will you marry me?"

He was speechless. He tried to speak and nothing would come out. It almost looked like he was about to faint or have a cardiac arrest or something.

"Y-yes! Of course!" He collapsed into my arms.

"Most people will think we're too young to make these decisions, but don't and never will love anyone as much as you."

We were both on the ground giggling and crying as everyone clapped and cheered.

"I love you so much, Link."

"I love you too. I'm so excited."

We lay in bed together, him laying on my chest, looking at the ceiling of our inn room.

"Am I allowed to plan our entire future yet?"

"I mean sure, but a lot might change."

"Yeah... Can I plan our wedding?" I chuckled.

"Do as you wish."

"Alright, I'll wait. This has been the best day ever."

"The best gay ever." He laughed.

"Goodnight, Dark."

"Night, my love."

I'm planning a sequel for this book so yea I have actual story ready.

I'm on summer break so maybe I'll update this more lmao
