Dark P.O.V
Link would come to the table and eat with me at least once a day. I was glad he was trying.
I was still up all night every night, though. My thoughts would get the best of me and I would break down.
"D-Dark? What's wrong?" Link muttered sleepily.
"I'm- I'm sorry, I didn't-t mean to wake you." He sat up and let the covers slide down his chest.
"No, I don't care about that. Why are you crying?"
"I was just thinking about - you know..."
"Aww, Dark. I'm not going anywhere!"
"I know, I know... I'm just so scared."
"I know."
He crawled into my lap and wrapped his arms around my neck.
"You're alright... I'm here, right here. Do you feel me?" I nodded. "Right. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere."
He did this almost every night. I would do this almost every night.
Something in me didn't believe him, though. I couldn't stand my own mind anymore.
He wasn't okay, and I had done this to him. It hurt to see him like this. I didn't know how to help him other than just being there with him. I hoped that would be enough.
When I woke up, he wasn't there. It was 7 am, and an hour ago he woke up to "go to the bathroom."
I rushed out of the room and tried to open the bathroom door. Locked.
"Dark!"
I kicked the door down. I froze.
The floor was covered in blood and pills. Dark was slumped over against the wall.
I carefully ran over to him.
"Dark? Dark, please!"
Dark's eyelids fluttered as he hummed.
"Hey, L-Link..." He muttered.
"W-what did you do?!" I cried.
"I'm- *cough* *cough* I'm making your life easier."
"No, no! I'm calling 911!"
"There's no- no need for that."
"You'll die!"
"That's kind of the point..." He coughed.
I rushed to grab my phone and called 911.
"911, what's your emergency?"
"My- My fiance is bleeding- bleeding everywhere. Pl-lease, help him!"
"Woah, slow down. What happened?"
"His- His arms. He cut-t them. He took, um, pills. A-alot."
"Ok sir, we'll track your call and be right there."
I hung up. I ran back to Dark and broke down in sobs in the pool of blood surrounding us.
"Dark, w-why did you-u do this?"
"The pills... they help me. The blood... I'm hel-lping you. You don't hav-ve to worry about me anymore."
"I don't wa-ant this! I w-want you, Dar-rk!"
"Hm."
The ambulance arrived and the paramedics busted in. They took him away all too fast.
"W-wait! I'm coming with you."
