If Google would have been a person, it would have shot me the judging looks by the search history I had.

I was finally back home, and it was the most peaceful thing I had encountered during the past few days. Well- it was not going to be my home anymore. I was going to leave my house soon and I had already filled up the applications for my master's, but this home held a different level of calmness for me. I was discharged from Genesis Hospital yesterday, as soon as the effects of the pills faded. And Vincenzo? Vincenzo had been the kindest man alive on earth, ever since the incident with Lyda.

He stayed beside me throughout my time in his hospital, bought me home, and even forbade me from paying the hospital bills (which I still did because I was an independent woman). He also sent me a huge bouquet with a note that said that he was going to Washington for his work, and he would miss me greatly. It was surprising that we still did not have each other's numbers. Ever since I was back home, I kept filling out my forms for my master's in different universities in Massachusetts. Although the fact that Massachusetts was far from Los Angeles, it was where my dream University was established.

I sighed, getting up from my bed and stretching my hands and legs a little. I went to my kitchen and turned on the gas stove to make myself a cup of coffee to revitalize my energy. My parents were out again. Before Vincenzo, my life was pretty much planned. I was supposed to be studying in Los Angeles for my undergraduation, so I would stay close to my parents. Then, I would be going to New York to do my master's and finally try to apply for my PhD courses in Cambridge and work side by side. It was like a dream life that I wanted to live.

I never desired something special, something extraordinary. All I needed was a plain, simple life. However, ever since a certain handsome doctor had stepped into my life, my world had turned upside down. It did not take me long to realize that the time I was blessed with to enjoy with Vincenzo was only because of my residence in Los Angeles, the place where he resided as well. The moment I would go to Boston, he would be detached from me. He would move on from my absence and there would be a benefit of the doubt if he would even remember my name. My heart clenched with thought.

After transferring the coffee into my mug, I took a much-needed sip and returned to my room. I was going to writing down the essay so I would get a nice expectancy rate. That day in the hospital, I realized that I was falling in love with Vincenzo. It was a different and unique feeling, and I was experiencing something so strong like this for the first time in my life. I gulped the lump forming in my throat, wondering if Vincenzo felt even one percent of what I felt for him. I was not going to hold my hopes up. After all, I had seen him with a woman with my own eyes, but I still trusted him. I trusted the true emotions that he showed to me. It was overwhelming to see him caring for me, it was almost magical.

I bit my lips, picking up the note he left with the flower bouquet for me. He had beautiful handwriting as if he had written this note himself. It was only delivered to me this morning. The note said:

"My beautiful Lily,
I am going to Washington for work.
I would return soon.
Please take care of yourself.
I am going to miss you greatly.
