Her voice sent shivers down my spine, just like an emergency alarm never wanted to be heard.

It was terrifying. I gulped the lump forming in my throat and decided to stay inside the kitchen only, away from her. However, I had no way out. This was my home and she was inside so I had to find a way to make her leave at any cost. Her words had managed to leave me to tremble under the coldness of the situations I was facing. Here I was feeling happy and contented and then suddenly she stepped into my life like an unwanted storm raging over my heart. Her voice was very doll-like, and so was her appearance and it was what terrified me the most. I had a feeling that she was not a good person, to begin with. I was regretting to invite her to my house.

"Lily, come out now, I don't have all day," she complained as if I was preventing her from doing some important work. Something was happening which involved me, and I had not much idea about it. I observed that Vincenzo talked smoothly about their wedding to her, but as soon as my name was mentioned, things changed for the worse. Maria started talking about some brother and a girl name Nora, and Vincenzo was angry, asking Maria not to hurt me.

Did that statement from Vincenzo conclude that Maria was a potential danger, the thought put me into deep worry and an un-solving mystery.

My house where I was residing presently was made in a particular way. The living area is attached to the kitchen, but there was a small space outside the lurched and towards its right is the bathroom in the ground floor. The bedrooms were upstairs . Right now, I was standing outside of the kitchen, peeping inside the living area where Maria Salvatore, the fiancee of Vincenzo was sitting impatiently. There was no way to bypass her and leave the room.

I began to feel horrible then. I was panicking internally and I was finding no solution to the nightmarish afternoon I was undergoing. I peeped again and saw her checking something on her phone.

"Lily Evans, if you think you can hide from me in that little kitchen of yours, then you are so wrong dear," she explained casually.

Oh my goodness, I was entirely speechless. Words failed to escape my lips. She knew I was hiding from her, she knew my tears were stopped and right now I only wanted an escape. She knew everything. My heartbeat paved with each passing second and now I knew that I was in a danger, a big one.

Think Lily, Think! I scolded my conscience, to try and find something to prevent this lady from doing what she wanted to. If my assumptions and intuition are both correct, then that person she was talking about eliminating was me. She was going to kill me, and she was going to do it because I was close with Vincenzo. His brother was involved in this whole thing, and I had no idea how I was involved in all of this.

My current focus right now was to be stronger and face her so I wiped my tears and started thinking of ways to get out of this terrible situation I was facing. I gathered my courage and looked around inside my kitchen for a weapon to hold against her. Once she was out of my flat, I would call the cops to help myself. I needed to get myself out without Vincenzo's help. I still had not forgotten how he gracefully agreed to her, and despite being in a relationship with the crazy lady sitting on my comfortable couch, he had no right to take me on dates or worse, kiss me. This was all a game to him.

So I was really just another girl in his life, in fact, my name would not be on the lists of his girlfriends because I was not any celebrity actor or a supermodel. I was just a normal girl with normal dreams. I should have known better, I should have known the person he really was. From his extravagant lifestyle, his rude attitude towards others and the fact that every Internet site claimed that 'he is an eligible bachelor who only dates for a couple of months and moves on,' I should have been careful. I wiped my newly formed tears again, regretting meeting him ever in my life.
