The moment I confessed my feelings to him, I was pushed against a wall by Vincenzo roughly. He was breathing quick, and I could feel a strong hunger in his eyes and actions. His hands gripped the side of my waist tight and his body pressed against me, and the feeling was unrealistically good.

"Say it again," he demanded roughly, and his voice was low and dangerous.

"I love you, Vincenzo," I mumbled, feeling my legs weakening at his strong gaze. His other hand raised against my cheeks and caressed my skin.

"Again," He demanded again, making his grip tight.

"I love you," I smiled a little, feeling heat rushing against my cheeks. He was being like a child, demanding the same thing again and again and it was adorable but scary at the same time.

He noticed my smile and the tinge of humour that danced in my eyes. He smiled as well, making his grip light and gently pressed his lips on my nose.

"You have no idea what you do to me, Lily," he confessed slowly, "You are my chance of redemption, the reason why I feel sane."

"I think I have a little idea," I teased, wrapping my arms around his shoulder. I was glad about the fact that he was no more feeling the same amount of pain that he was experiencing a few moments ago.

"But at the same time," he trailed his hand inside the hem of my shirt, around my waist, "You make me insane, like now."

I chuckled lightly, brushing my nose against his, and letting his warmth embrace me.

The past he told me, was the most terrible, horrifying tale that I had ever heard. Now, I could comprehend better why he was so angry and affected when anybody talked about his profession. He had taken a long way to be what he was now, and that was truly praiseworthy. His pain had diminished now, and I was quite glad about it. His lip had a smile now, and that made me smile. At least he was able to break down the high walls and tell me what he was about. Yet I still had no idea about Maria and how Lorenzo rose into so much power that he was haunting Vincenzo again, but I realised it was not the time to discuss anymore. Vincenzo looked weak.

"You should have some rest after you eat," I reminded him.

"I am not in a mood to eat, sweetheart," he offered me a sad smile, "I have to talk to Elena about a lot of things now."

I furrowed my eyebrows at him, "I don't understand. Why did Elena help me..? And why didn't she try to escape when you were holding her against her will?"

He smirked and walked towards the couch, trailing his long fingers against the silk. I saw a glimpse of how well-built and masculine he was under the hue of blue and yellow lights that were dimmed inside the room.

"Because angel," he began, "Elena was never kidnapped by me. She came with me willingly."

"What..?!" I was blown away by his confession and I didn't quite comprehend what he meant. He did kidnap her just like Lorenzo kidnapped me. Then how could she come with him willingly, the thought didn't settle with my mind.

He laughed deeply, "You don't understand. Elena is not like the other girls, Lily. She is a completely different person and is against Mafia. Unfortunately, she is Lorenzo's girlfriend."

"She is Lorenzo's girlfriend?!"

"Indeed," he agreed, "Although none of them is prepared to accept the fact, all know the way my younger brother is smitten by this young girl. The moment I realized that Maria was spying on me for Lorenzo, I lost all my faith in her."

"S-so you loved her?" My voice was quite soft while I regarded this topic.

"Of course not," he turned around to look me in the eye, "When we were children, our fathers who were close friends in business decided to give a name to the relationship and thus decided to marry me and Maria when we grow up."
