Amjad's POV.

"I can't say this is shocking"

Munir spins around looking surprised to see me, he quickly picks up his shorts and puts them on.

"Neither can I" he answers back.
I roll my eyes as I get off the table and walking over.

It's 4am and I somehow got into his house.
"I thought your father retired but I guess his birds haven't"

I sit across him on an arm chair.
"Well it surprised me too"
He crosses his leg "So?"

"I'm wondering why you're walking around naked"
"I wasn't expecting you or anyone to show up"

I nod "I can understand that"
"What are you doing here, Amjad? I know you, you wouldn't fly 2hrs and drive another 6hrs to come check up on me"

I smile "You're right but how long has it been? 20years? You must have really stayed updated, you just knew it was me"
"Let's be honest, everyone in this kingdom knows they can't keep anything away from your father, a very remarkable and capable man"

I nod "He can be frustrating"
"Everyone can be frustrating but you're lucky"

"Anyway—you and I have something important to discuss".

Hafiz's POV.

I'm not stupid.
I know whatever feelings I have for Huda are pointless, we can't be together.

I huff as I enter the royal court.
I know it's empty but I just like walking around a bit every morning.

Looking at the paintings and all the carvings on the wall. It's the history of past rulers and I can't believe Uncle Mustapha will be part of them soon too.

Apparently he went on a secret trip but I think it's probably to a hospital outside the country.

"Are you moping around already?"
I turn around and see Aadil leaning on a wall.

"Moping around?"
"Yeah, your new best friend is out of town and he sent his wife to stay with you, the same wife who happens to be your ex"

I roll my eyes "Aadil is this really all you're good for? All you do is go around and gossip, enough of it already, it's exhausting".

He huffs "You two have really decided to stick by each other. Well it's hurting Suleiman, you know it has always been you two and now he feels left out"

I nod "If he did he'd tell me himself".
"Would he? Does he have to for you to know? You haven't noticed?"

I turn my head away "Aadil, why don't you get straight to the point and tell me what you really want?"

He starts walking over "I want to be out of this fucking place"
"Everyone hates the palace so I don't see why you have to be a bitch about it"

He shakes his head "You're not slow Hafiz, I mean this fucking kingdom"

I can't help but laugh, sarcastically "Do that, why don't you?"
"I can't as long as my father thinks I can be emperor"

Now it's getting interesting.
"So I'll help with what I can"

"Which is?"

Walking inside the house both Rauda and Huda looked bothered, they sat in the living room in silence.

"What's going on here?"
Rauda raises her head and looks at me but says nothing back.

"Why are you quiet?" I ask sitting across them.
"What's with the silence?" I ask again.

"Huda's brother is coming next week"

I turn to Huda who looked devastated "Shouldn't you be excited he's coming?"

Huda shakes her head "He's coming along with Iman and she's staying with Amjad and i"

Now it explains everything.
I've met a lot of twins in my life and most of them care deeply for each other except Huda's sister Iman, she despises her sister.

"I thought things got less intense because you didn't end up as Queen? Wasn't that why she hated you? Because you're a vassal and you somehow get special treatment?"

She nods "And then I married Amjad, my parents still aren't done celebrating"

"Ah"
She huffs "As if it's not hell enough".

Huda's POV.

Yes my sister is arriving today but so is Amjad and honestly I've missed him quite a lot. This past week staying with Rauda really gave us closure.

Hafiz and I are in a less awkward situation after our confrontation two nights ago.
I really have come to a conclusion that guys are different from girls.

I'm married to someone else now and I really do like him, I don't think it's love yet but there are definitely feelings while Hafiz still hasn't accepted his marriage to Rauda, maybe there's a reason that's between them.

I sit outside in the Gazebo reading a book, Good Muslim Bad Muslim. I honestly missed Amjad a lot.

See the car pull up in the drive way I couldn't contain my excitement, I was smiling from ear to ear like I was granted a ticket to heaven.

He comes out of the car with his black duffel bag wearing a navy blue shirt, black three quarter and black slides.

I run over and hug him, I could tell he was taken aback at first but he hugged back, his arms wrapped around my waist.
I pull away "You've been gone for too long"

He nods "I know babe and I'm sorry"
Babe?
I'm his babe?

There's a difference between hearing someone refer to you as wife and as my wife.
It's no lie that I'm his wife but when he says babe then there's feelings connected. Plus I know Amjad and he doesn't just say anything casually.

"It's alright, you should eat and rest up" I say before staring down at his three quarter.

"Wow, you wore that at the airport?"
He shrugs "It was so hot there"

I nod "Let's go in, come on"
I pull him along completely forgetting I was reading a book.
