RIIIING

Aw, man! It's too early! Street thought, annoyed. Not only was it still dark, but his cellphone was all the way in the dinning room. He dreaded getting out of his comfortable bed and walking all the way over there. He was still wrapped around the warm sheets. He especially loved these ones. Chris definitely had exquisite taste for bedding!

"Rubio! Could you get that, please?" he called from beneath the sheets.

He heard the next door swing open and the stomping of the boy's feet. "Pops, it's yours!"

"I know, buddy." he mumbled lying face down on the pillow

"Ok, I will answer!" he heard the boy announce

Best thing about him being hyper: he never complains about getting up in the morning! Yes! Street thought cheerfully.

"Ma! Bendiciones" (Hey ma! Blessings) he heard Rubio say

GASP!

Street immediately panicked as he had not finished getting everything ready for the camping trip and he just knew Chris was about to drill him!

"Sh*t!" he said as he got up, sending sheets and pillows flying everywhere. He got some pants from the pile stacked behind the door, and in one motion threw them in his backpack. As he finished packing he kept throwing things all over and creating a huge mess. When he finished, he needed to go to the bathroom urgently because...his bladder was about to explode!

"Bendiciones para ti, cariño. ¿Estás listo para irte acampar?" (Blessing for you, dear. Are you ready to go camping?)

"¡'tamos ready, ma!" (I'm ready, ma!) Rubio said, as he moved around the main areas, all dressed up and ready to go!

"Mi amor, pero ¿por qué está todo tan desorganizado? ¡Pensé que iban a recoger antes de irse!" (Honey, but why is there such a mess? I thought you guys were going to organize before leaving!)

"Pops dijo que cuando regresaramos limpiamos." (Pops said that we would do it when we got back)

Chris shook her head knowing Street's laziness towards cleaning meant her apartment would look like a disaster zone come Sunday night. She shook her head, but remained calmed, after all it wasn't the kid's fault.

As the conversation continued, Jim finally finished hiding the mess in his room and was now in the bathroom, just behind where Rubio had settled with the phone in hand.

"Jim, ¿está despierto?" (Is Jim awake?) Chris asked curiously

"Si" (Yes) he said as he turned sideways

"Woah!" she said turning her head sideways, half closing her eyes. "What is with you guys peeing with the damn door open? Street, geez!" Rubio giggled as Street turned his head towards them, still in the process.

"Sorry!" he apologized slowly

"Ma, language!"Rubio snapped

"Rubio, be quiet!"she snapped back, still looking sideways

The phone vibrated in his hand as an incoming call interrupted their video call.

"Ma, hay otra llamada!" (Mom, there's another call on the line)

"Ok, dejame en espera pero no me cuelgues. Necesito hablar con Jim." (Ok, put me on hold but don't hang up. I need to talk to Jim.)

"Ok"
