. Suga, who if featured on "eight (에잇)", also produced the track. He commented on VLive the collaboration, "The production process was very smooth so there wasn't a lot of back-and-forth. I wrote the beat and the melody came quickly after that. After I finished working on it, I listened to it a lot."
Miyoung say that she casually asked Suga if he wanted to do a collaboration with her and never expect Suga to say yes. Miyoung and Suga composed and arranged the lyrics and music for this song together. It is about enjoy your life because you life is infinity and also about age of twenties since Suga is already 28 and Miyoung will turn 20 soon. Miyoung teased this song on the 27th of January 2020, she posted an image on Twitter with the number '8' on it and the names of her and Suga. The partly animated music video for "eight" was published on the 15th of February 2020.
