Naruto woke up with a start. He looked beside him to see Sasuke already awake, looking at the blue sky as the sunlight hit his face, making his porcelain skin glow.
Naruto smiled, He could get used to this; waking up on the grass, instead of a barren and charred battleground, sunlight present so clearly, without any dark smoke clouds blocking it, birds chirping and everything.
Sasuke turned his head to look at Naruto, to find him engrossed in his surroundings.
Naruto's ever-caring caring, selfless, kind smile that Sasuke knew. Seeing Naruto's determined face was what had given hope to fight Kaguya.
Naruto was Sasuke's hope.
He felt at peace, a feeling he cherished.
"Naruto,"
"Yes?"
"Thank you, for everything."
