"I'm so happy to be back in my own house dude"Dad said walking in.

"I know i'm about to sleep so good in my own bed" I said.

"You slept the whole damn ride" He said looking at me like i was crazy.

"I know but it wasn't a bed nap it was a on the road nap" I explained. "Like i wasn't sleep sleep"

"I was bout to take you to the mall, school starts in like a week" He said. "And your birthday next month."

"Okay let me shower first then i'll come down when i'm ready" I said.

I was excited to finally take a nap but okay, i do start school soon so let me just go on ahead.

"Dad these are so freaking ugly get out my face" I said while my dad tried to show me some low converse that was this ugly dark red color with flowers on them.

"Okay but you could pull them off Z" He tried to convince me.

"Dad" I straight faced him and he started laughing.

"Okay we can go to another store then" He said and we walked to pacsun.

"These are cute" I said. I picked up some jeans with flowers on them.

I picked up a couple more pairs of pants and some shirts. I never knew pacsun had clothes this good.

"You happy with what you got?" My dad asked as we got in the car.

"Yeah, thank you" I said shoving a fry in my mouth.

"Thank you too" He said since i bought him some chick fil a.

"My pleasure" I said. "Can i go to Maj's house?" I asked him.

"Yeah" He said.

"Really?" I asked shocked.

"Yeah, he cool peoples, i don't mind" He said.

I called Maj excited to tell him.

"Yo" He answered.

"Whatcha doin?" I asked.

"Chillin, i was about to come see you, but you not home obviously" He said.

"I'm on my way home, can we go over your house this time?" I asked.

"That's fine wit me" He said. "Call me when you're ready"

"Okay" I said then hung up.

"Ew" My dad said.

I finished my food by the time we got home and Maj was already there waiting.

"I got the bags you can go ahead" My dad said.

"Yeah you're being weird" I said. "Cause why are you all of a sudden letting me go with him?"

"Cause you growing up" He said. "I just gotta except it, i'm glad you finally getting out the house"

"See you later, love you dad" I said then gave him a hug and got out the car and went to Maj's car.

I opened his door and climbed him giving him a big hug.

"B you tryna kill me?" He asked laughing.

"It smells good in here" I said leaning up.

"Thank you, you wanna get on your side so we can leave?" He said.

"Snappy" I mumbled getting on the passenger side.

"You have fun?" He asked.

"Yeah, it was cool, i missed home though" I said yawning.

"Oh my gosh you bout to go to sleep" He said.

"Yeah, im tired" I said.

He didn't say anything else and turned the music on and i fell asleep.

"YOURE ASSSSSS" Maj screamed making me jump a little.

I kicked him in the back and he turned around and mugged me so hard.

"Aight yall, my baby up" He said then took off his headset.

He reached up and grabbed my ankle and pulled me to the edge of the bed. "Keep them nasty ass feet to yoself" He said.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"Like 1 am" He said starring at me. "Why you look so mad?"

I just got up and went downstairs to the kitchen. Who yells in a room where someone is sleeping.

"You mad?" He asked calmly while i drank some water.

I shook my head.

"Give me a hug then" He said.

I gave him a hug and let go.

"Zuriii" He whined still holding on.

"Youre too old to be whining like this" I said.

"Give me a hug" He said.

"I did" I said.

"Man, fuck you den" He said then pushed my forehead.

I just looked at him. I wanna go back to sleep.

He squeezed the bottle in my hand making the water go everywhere on me then ran away.

"Im about to kill him" I said.

I grabbed a lamp out of the living room and went upstairs to find him.

"Bro Zuri the queen just died" He said from behind me scaring me.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah" He said. "Fuck her doe, she racist"

"Really?"

"You ain't know that? She racist as hell" He said. "Put my damn lamp back"

"I meant to beat you up with it" I said making my way back downstairs to put it back.

I went back to Maj's room and put on a movie while he scrolled on tiktok.

"ZURI" He yelled mid movie startling me.

"What" I asked looking at him like he was crazy.

"You on my tiktok" He said showing me a video.

"That's cause we follow each other" I said rolling my eyes.

He just got tiktok.

"My bad continue watching your movie or whatever" He said.

After the movie was over i look over and Maj was sleep so i just decided to go to sleep to.

His house is kind of boring, nothing here at all.

"Oooh my sketchbook" I said getting up. I went to his dresser and got my sketch book out and went back and laid down.

I looked up a picture to draw on my phone and started drawing.

"Zuri if you don't turn that damn light off" I heard beside me.

"Wanna see my sketch?" I asked.

"Mmhm" He mumbled and rolled over. "This dope as fuck mama" He said.

"Thank you" I said grabbing it back.

"Can i keep it?" He asked.

"Sure" I said.

"Let me finish it first"
