"Put some ice on that knee Z" My dad said as i limped to the door of my moms house.

I gave him a thumbs up and then knocked.

Some boy opened the door and stared at me making me mug him.

"Who you?" We asked at the same time.

I pushed past him and walked in sitting on the couch.

"Why you- OHHHHMYFUCKING GOSH" Reem yelled as i walked in.

I took my shoe off and threw it at him. "Shut up"

"Z you be hunching what the fuck?" He asked looking at me disgusted.

"Nooo, i fell down the stairs idiot" I said rolling my eyes.

"Zuri this Jordan and Will, y'all this our sister" Keem introduced me.

I nodded my head at them and they did the same.

They continued their conversation while i drifted off re-playing the events from last night over and over.

"Why you smiling like that?" Keem asked mugging me.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"I'm about to go take a nap" I said then walked up the stairs.

I went into my room and laid down under the cover. I'm never in my room when i come to my moms house, im always in my brothers room.

I put on some random show and dozed off.

I woke up and it was starting to get dark outside.

I went to bathroom and brushed my teeth really quick and went to my phone.

I saw a missed call from Maj and called him back.

"Hey" I said when he answered.

"What the fuck you been doing?" He asked me without even greeting me.

"I was sleep, what's your problem?" I asked him.

"I'm coolin" He said lowly. "Where you at?"

"My moms house." I said yawning.

"Damn i was finna slide" He said. "I miss you"

"I miss you too" I said.

"Why i saw this girl with that same hairstyle at the store, bitches wanna be you so bad b" He said.

I laughed. "How was your day?" I asked.

"It was straight" He mumbled. "What you lil ass eat today?" He asked.

I started thinking about what i ate and realized i forgot to eat, again.

"Zuri why you ain't been eating b?" He asked softly.

"I don't know i just forget" I mumbled.

"Stop mumbling, talk. You want me to send you some food?" He asked.

"No i'll go get something" In reality if he sent something it would just sit around because i'm not hungry.

"Yo mama cook?" He asked.

"Yes, she made chicken, collard greens, mac and cheese, and something else" I said.

"Ou that shit sound so good" He said.

"What did you eat today?" I asked standing up.

"I had like 5 cinnamon rolls this morning wit some fruit, and some chick fil a earlier." He said.
