Chapter 5: Some Aren't Just Fairy Tale

Blake POV

We are currently in the cafeteria having breakfast Ruby was talking with Yang and Weiss. I didn't bother saying anything and just look down at my food, not even eating any.

What Vanitas said to me haven't left my mind. Why did he have no interest in people that would love him?

What's he reason for closing himself off from other? Maybe something bad happened before and made him like that? Or was their some side effects of being a Blue Moon clan?

Ruby: Blake!

Blake: Yes!

Ruby: Are you okay? You just space out.

Blake: Oh, is there something wrong?

Ruby: Is something the matter?

Blake: Ugh, no, nothing.

Weiss: You been acting strange since this morning.

Yang: Yeah, you keep spacing out. Alot.

Blake: I was just thinking... about Vanitas.

The table when silent for a bit before Weiss speak up

Weiss: That Jerk? Why are you even thinking about someone like him?

Blake: It's just, I was thinking, is he hate himself so much that he distance himself from other.

Ruby look abit shock, Yang have a dumbfounded face while Weiss just chuckle.

Weiss: He hate himself? I tell you what, he is a jerk that only care for himself. He have no regards for other around him. Ruby try being nice to him and he didn't even want to be her friend.

Ruby: Maybe he just need time?

Yang: Yeah, Ruby is right. Maybe all he needed is time, maybe then he can be more friendly through other.

Blake: But he have no interest in people that would love him.

The table when silent as I realized what I just said and cover my mouth.

Ruby: What? Blake is this true?

Tear start to form from her eyes.

Blake: Ruby, I-

Weiss: How did you know something like that?

Blake: I talk with him... last night. When he push me out I-

If I tell Ruby I told Vanitas about her feeling this might hurt her even more.

Blake: I accidentally told him I like him and he said that.

Yang: So you also like him?

Blake: A little.

Ruby start to cry, she stand up and run out.

Yang: Ruby!

She busted through the door falling over on someone.

Ruby: Sorry.

We run up to her seeing the person that she knocked over was Vanitas.

Vanitas: Hello Ruby.

Ruby: Sorry.

She quickly got up and start to run away, Vanitas sit up and look at her.

Vanitas: Now that's new. Anyway-

Yang grab his collar her eyes turning red.

Yang: Talk!

Vanitas: What's now?

Yang: Why are you always being mean to Ruby?

Vanitas: I'm not being mean, just keeping a distance.

Yang: And why would you do that?
