Until The End

Interview

Days passed Serene and Irene never had any interaction at all. Irene would talk to her daughter but will get no response. They would only hear Serene's voice when they will ask her about something important but the latter will not glance at them. 

Today is a Friday, Serenity's school year just ended and it is now her freedom. Of course as a student, but as a student leader not yet as their acquaintance party is tomorrow and she is still finalizing their event. She went down to get some coffee not even minding her Mom who is in their living room drinking her tea while reading a book. While she was brewing some coffee her phone rang and the caller was Frances.

Serene's POV

"What now Frans?"

"Beh need ka dito sa school."

"Why?" 

"May need daw ayusin eh ikaw lang nakaka alam." 

"Ok. Maliligo lang ako. Gonna be there by 3:30."

"Ingat ka."

"Yes I will." I said and dropped the call. My coffee just finished brewing so I transferred it to my tumbler. I made some iced coffee and hurriedly went up. I took a bath and just fixed my things. I went down again with my things and looked for my dad. Sabi ni Manang nasa office daw kaya pinuntahan ko. And yes, I don't make pansin to my Mom. Why? Why not. Ramdam ko ang titig niya sa bawat galaw, oh ngayon?

"Dad?" I called him.

"Hmm? Yes baby?" he replied and opened his arms. I went to him and sat on his lap to hug him.

"Bihis ka ha." I chuckled.

"Dad, I need to go sa school. May problem daw sa event need nila ako doon. I can't say no kasi ako lang daw maka fix."

"Hmmm. Is this the event your Kuya Alfy told us?"

"Opo. Bukas na yun dad eh."

"Sige. What time are you gonna go home?"

"About that, hindi ko po alam. I'll message you nalang po."

"Ok baby. Ingat ka ok?"

"Yes dad. Pupunta ka ba bukas as the plus one of your wife?"

"Nope. Daddy's schedule tomorrow is loaded with meetings baby eh. But your Mom said it's ok daw. Ikaw? You have a date ba bukas?"

"Op-"

"Syempre wala. Anong opo?!" He teased me

"Ihhh pinag paalam ko na yun eh! Si Lucas na eh!"

"Dalaga ka na. Baby ko parin ikaw ha?" Daddy gently rest my head unto his chest and kissed my forehead.

"Opo. Ikaw muna boyfriend ko Daddy."

"Dapat lang. Pogi ko kaya." He said and hugged me tight. I just laughed and went down of his lap.

"Sus! Hangin! Sige dad una na po ako."

"Sige, pahatid ka kay Manong ha?"

"Yes dad nasabihan ko na." I waved good bye and was about to go out when he spoke again.

"Paalam ka kay Mommy mo." He said. I just gave him a nod. Dumaan ako sa kitchen namin para hindi na ako makita ng asawa niya. Bakit ako magpapaalam?

When I arrived, I hurriedly checked what they need. Mukhang matatagalan pa ako. Jusko nakaka stress mga kasama ko ha!

"What if ihelp niyo ko imbis na you're just chitchatting?"

"Conyo girl!" Maxine said. I threw her the paper I crampled.
