Because of that, we we're almost always together. Gustavo was nowhere, I had heard they took him for investigation.

He stayed in the condo for my healing process. Doon lang siya gumagawa ng trabaho sa laptop niya. He was afraid to let the attack happened.

What happened to me was terrifying to all who experienced but I didn't really remember anything. I noticed he changed our table.

Tinanong ko siya doon at matagal niya pa akong nasagot. His reaction looked conflicted.

" Your blood was there. " He says and he swallowed hard. " There were no visible weapons around and the investigators told me you were most likely hit..there with force.." maliit niyang wika at parang nahihirapan pa.

My lips parted. Oh,

Pumikit siya at nag-iwas ng tingin. Medyo nag-aalala ako hindi lang para sakin kundi para sa nararamdaman niya.

He couldn't look at me for long as if he's guilty of something. It somehow made a distance between us tho he isn't deliberately trying to. Natatakot akong ito pa ang dahilan para magkalayo kami.

I went to him and hugged him from his side as he worked on his laptop.

" Are you okay? " I asked worriedly.

" There's a lot to do, you should go to sleep. I will stay and guard you. " Again, his reply. This is one of those moments where I feel he is trying to distance himself.

" Arthur.." nag-aalala ko na talagang sabi. " D-Don't be guilty okay? It's not your fault. " Wika ko.

He clenched his jaw. " I'm not. Go to sleep. " He kissed my temples.

I closed my eyes at the contact and opened them to look at him again.

" Sleep with me? I miss you. " Malambing kong wika. I haven't gone to bed with him, lagi siyang nagtatrabaho at nakakatulog nalang ako. He also wakes up early at breakfast so hindi ko siya naaabutan.

Natigilan siya at pumikit ng mariin. He sighed and kissed my jaw. " But I have work my love.." his answer that made me feel butterflies in my stomach.

" Can you do it later? You need to rest too. " Wika ko at niyakap siya sa leeg para di umalis.

He closed his eyes and gave me a kiss on the lip. I closed my eyes and kissed him back. He groaned and then left my lips after just few seconds of hesitation.

" Alright. Are you feeling wierd? Headache? Nausea? " He asked. I figured dahil iyon sa ulo ko. Umiling ako kahit medyo nakakaramdam nga ng konteng hilo.

Tumango siya. " Good then. Let's sleep as you want. " Payag niya kaya napangiti ako.

Tumungo kami sa kwarto, he layed and I crawled towards my place in his arms. Napangiti ako nang makahiga sa dibdib niya. He sighed contentedly and gently rubbed my arms then softly massaged my head.

I snuggled against him and hugged him sideways.

He kissed my forehead and whispered.
" Good night Isabelle " wika niya.

" Goodnight too. " Sagot ko.

He sighed in my ear. " I love you. " He says hoarsely and kissed my ear. " My wife. " He whispered again.

Dahil doon mabilis akong nakatulog.

Papa arrived the next day in the condo, kagigising ko lang nang bumaba. He was talking with Arthur in serious voice in our living room when he noticed me.

" Dad. " Mabilis akong lumapit at humalik sa pisnge niya. " I didn't know you're coming today. " wika ko.

He looked tired, medyo nakaramdam ako ng lungkot doon. He maybe ruthless but he is still my father, he had taken care of me when mother passed, and despite how he misses her, he never gave up because of me.
