After that night, Ms. Carson discharged from the hospital. And by that, Mr. Carson didn't show up from the day Ms. Carson hospitalized. I saw him that night that never visited his daughter. Ms. Carson is all fine now. She can completely do whatever she wanna do.
I opened my eyes as I heard some steps towards my direction. I am already in our classroom. May mga nasidatingan na rin kanina na mag kaklase ko.
"Coffee?" Rich asked. I nodded. He gave me one. Tumabi rin ito sa akin. "Kyrie, have you still remember the first time you embarrassed yourself?" Narinig ko itong nagpipigil ng tawa kaya siniko ko.
"Oh please, not that one," I let out a deep sigh. "But yah, I still remember that. It was awful! Ang sakit no'n! You didn't tell me na lamp post na pala 'yung kaharap ko." And, that made him bursted in laughter. I hit his arm and rolled my eyes.
"Naalala ko pa 'yung batang nilagpasan ka muna bago tumawa nang malakas." Sabi pa nito habang natatawa kaya napingot ko siya sa kaniyang tainga dahilan para mapadaing ito nang malakas. "Ky, tama na! Masakit!"
"Ah talaga? Sino kaya 'yung nahulog sa kanal kasi kahit walang ring nagsho-shoot pa rin?" Natatawang sambit ko bago ko binitiwan tainga niya. "Huwag kang mamula, Rich. Remember that day? Umikot ka pa nga sa akin no'n then you shoot your invisible ball to your invisible ring and what was the ending?"
"Oo na, oo na! Kaysa naman sa 'yo, inakbayan mo 'yung taong 'di mo kilala—aray! Kyrie!" Muli itong napadaing dahil sinabunutan ko na siya. "Ky naman! Masakit! Napaka-brutal mo naman!"
"Kapal kasi ng mukha mong iwan ako! Salita pa ako nang salita sa lalaking 'yon, 'di ko naman pala kilala tapos tatawanan mo pa ako?" Asik ko sa kaniya.
"What's going on here?" Sabay kaming napatingin sa pumasok na si Ms. Carson. "Akerson," sinundan ko ang tingin ni Ms. Carson at napadpad ito sa kamay kong nakasabunot pa kay Rich.
Binitiwan ko ang buhok ni Rich at humingi ng pasensya. I jokingly slapped Rich in his arm and whispered to move out on Cassie's seat. Tumawa muna ito bago bumalik sa upuan nito. Crazy but I admit, I missed him.
As soon as, Ms. Carson closed the door, Shai and Cassie enter the room. They're both breathing heavily. I asked them what happened but they both shook their heads.
Ms. Carson started the discussion. It was simple and understandable. She really is destined to be a Prof even if it's not her forte. The way she simplified the topic and explained it so easily, it was really amazing.
But... I'm distracted on how graceful her body gesture is. And, it made my mind return to the night that I was fu— oh, please... focus on the lesson, Ky, and not to the Professor.
"Take one whole sheet of paper, compute these problems." Biglang niyang sambit kaya nabalik ako sa reyalidad.
I glanced at her. She lifted her brows while looking at me and rolled it afterwards. What's her problem with me?
After a half of hour, our papers passed in front. Para kaming pinagbagsakan ng langit at lupa dahil sa pinasagot nito sa amin. At halos maglabas pa kami ng ilang pahina ng papel dahil sa haba ng mga computations. Unang klase pa lang ay nalamog na ang mga utak namin.
Classes before recess break was too boring... or maybe I was just sleepy? Aside from that, the words they enunciated were just floating in my mind and vanished like a bubble. I feel really bored.
"Kyrie, matanong nga kita, may kinalaman ka ba sa biglang pag-iba ng mood ni Ms. Carson kanina?" May halong pagtataka sa boses ni Shai. "Tell us, Ky. You did something?"
