The Park Plan

A few weeks later

Virgils PoV
Well college is great. Just great. I totally haven't been overworking myself, hiding in my dorm for weeks, barely talking to anyone apart from my mom and surviving on microwave meals. This wasn't what I was expecting to happen in my life but for some reason I thought it would be ok to do this. Why did I even pick to go to college?! Was this a good idea? The answer is no. Why would it be good for me when I'm Virgil Storm? The universe hates me, everyone hates me and so do I. I've only been here for a few months and I'm already in a bad state.

*knock knock*

Someone's at my door? I grabbed the handle and opened the door. I seen a slightly concerned Patton looking at me.

"Good afternoon Virgil!" He said with a slight smile.

"Hey Patton,"

"Is everything alright?"

"Yeah everything is fine, why'd you ask?"

"It's just that we haven't heard from you in a while kiddo and i just wanna check up on you buddy,"

"Trust me Patton im ok,"

"You promise?"

"Yeah.."

"Ok well then, we are going out later to the park if you'd like to join us,"

"Who's 'we'?"

"Me and Logan,"

"Hmmm sure,"

"Great we are going in 30 minutes!"

"See you then,"

Pattons PoV
I'm going to feel horrible for this. He doesn't know what is going to happen. I had to try do something but I just hope it doesn't make him feel worse...

FLASHBACK TO YESTERDAY

Groupchat with Logan, Patton and Roman

Roman: Hello everyone 👑

Logan: Salutations

Patton: Hi kiddos!

Roman: Are you guys available this weekend to do something?

Patton: I don't have any plans

Logan: I should be free

Patton: but I should probably spend this weekend with Virgil...

Logan: Dear he will be fine

Patton: Logan. He isn't fine :(

Roman: What happened him?

Patton: he just isn't himself at the moment, he hasn't left is dorm in weeks and the only time he does leave is for class but we barely see him anymore

Logan: Again Patton, I'm sure he's fine, he might need space

Roman: He doesn't sound fine

Logan: How exactly would you know Roman?

Roman: ... really?

Patton: See! I'm sorry Roman but I want to make sure he's ok

Roman: you could ask him to come

Logan: I don't think he'd want to come

Patton: Why not?

Logan: 🤔

Roman: I know it's my fault he isn't happy and I'm aware he doesn't want to be around me but maybe it could give me a chance to fix that🤷‍♂️

Patton: Oh

Logan: hmm you do have a point

Patton: I guess I could try ask him

Roman: Great, anyway, This weekend at the park?

Logan: Ok

Patton: yep!

Roman: Amazing!

BACK TO THE PRESENT TIME

(Still Pattons PoV)

I left the dorm and headed to Logan and Roman's dorm. I knocked on the door and Roman happily greeted me. Logan was sitting on the couch and I joined him, Roman came over too sat across from us.

"Well, I asked him,"

"And?"

"He said yes,"

"Really?"

"Yep,"

"He said yes, even though I'm going?!"

"I didn't tell him that part.."

"Pat.."

"Oh so he may leave as soon as he sees me,"

"I'll convince him!"

"How will you do that love?"

"Well if me, Logan and Virgil leave a little earlier than Roman we can go to the park and then Roman can come join us a few minutes later"

"It might work,"

"Yeah it could, I won't speak to him straight away, I'll lead up to it,"

"Good idea. Your chances of speaking to him again are high if you play it safe,"

"Thanks for the newsflash Mr know-it-all,"

"I'm just being honest Roman, I'm just saying if you'd do another plan it simply wouldn't work,"

"Yeah yeah whatever, I'm going to get ready,"

Roman walked off into his room and I decided to go back to mine and get ready as well.

Romans PoV
I went to room and grabbed my red jacket, if you ask me I look really good today. I have my classic red jacket with 'r' on the side, a white shirt, light blue jeans and a pair of vans to top it off. I lifted my comb and started to get my hair looking as great as always but I couldn't help feel a sense of excitement? Nervousness? Adrenaline? I know it's because I'm speaking to him again. It's been years. I did try speak to him the first time I seen him here but that didn't go the way I wanted for obvious reasons. I mean he has every right to be upset but he could also just hear me out. It's complicated. Maybe it could go somewhat well? Based on me growing up with him and dating him in the past I can openly say Virgil holds grudges for a while and holds on to things that has happened. I hope he doesn't hold this against me forever. Maybe I could actually be friends with him. Even if we just talk for a moment it would be better than nothing.

*buzz buzz*
It was my phone.

"1 new message from Patton
     We are leaving now"

Well I am finally seeing him.
