Latoya bit down on her bottom lip as she opened up the mini slim jim. She was nervous about meeting his family today.

She was great but Latoya never considered herself to be the 'bring home to mom' type. It was that, and naturally, she just didn't want to be uncomfortable.

All those judgmental eyes on her. It was honestly overwhelming.

She looked out the drivers side window on the other side of the car, Dayvon outside pumping the gas as he held his gun in the other hand, head on a swivel.

such a hood nigga.

It took a couple of minutes before she heard the gas tank clink, meaning that it had stopped at the amount he purchased.

Scrolling on twitter, it wasn't long before the drivers side was opening and Dayvon was climbing into the car, closing the door behind him.

"You straight?" She heard, a hand instantly going to rub her stomach.

Latoya locked her phone, taking another bite of her slim jim. "We're fine, Dayvon, damn."

"Don't start today," He rolled his eyes, hand still on her belly as he used one hand to start up the car.

This was her second time hanging out with her baby's father alone, and it was hilarious to her how much he had to be touching the baby. He was always rubbing on the small bump or touching it in some sort of way, even staring at it.

She couldn't believe this was the same man who said he didn't want a baby. He was almost like a natural at this.

The car pulled out from the parking lot of the gas station and onto the main road. A bit of Dayvon's unreleased music played softly through the car, Latoya still scrolling on twitter as he drove.

"You nervous?"

"Duh," She snapped, "Don't ask stupid questions."
