Everyone has a sick day every once in a while. Some might have more sick days than others but the reality is that even the lightest of colds can bring the toughest people down. Secretary (YN) was no exception to that rule.
He may not have sick days often but when he does, it'll be most likely put him down for the day at least and a couple of days at most. Today was one of those days.
*Cough! Cough!*
"Yah! Are you sure you'll be fine?"
(YN) weakly nodded his head as he wobbled his way towards the front door.
"If you want to, I can take only take half the day at the shop...someone will take care of you later.."
(YN) looked at Chaeyeon who visibly had worry all over her face.
"Aish don't worry about me that much...you can take the rest of they day at work..I know how to take care of myself anyways. It's not like this is the first time I've dealt with a slight fever before.."
It was true that he was having a slight fever though the aches on his body would suggest something else.
It seemed to make his sister worry less as she exited the door to their home. Before she left for work, she turned towards him tightly holding her bag.
"Don't be afraid to call me if you need me back here..I'll bring you something warm when I get back so don't die when I'm away, okay?" Chaeyeon teased making her brother shake his head.
"Understood.." He mumbled as he went back inside after watching his sister leave.
He walked slowly back towards his room, holding the wall for support. He was now feeling dizzy wasn't any better from having a fever.
He carefully placed himself back into his bed. The thought of eating breakfast never crossed his mind as the overwhelming feeling of dizziness mixed with the heat from the fever promptly sent him off into dreamland.
His slumber was nothing but uncomfortable. He woke up abruptly with a cold sweat and with a loud cough. Once he let out the last cough, he felt breathless.
He looked at the clock in the room for the time and found that it was noon. Every person's lunch time.
Speaking of lunch, his stomach began to rumble since he hadn't given himself a meal to eat since last night.
He thought to stand up from his bed but a new challenge arose, a headache. A fever, nausea and now a headache. They were truly a recipe for disaster.
He was too weak to move from his bed and the headache made the notion to move unbearable.
His mouth felt dry which reminded him to drink water. He moved his hand towards a bottle just beside him to only disappoint himself as the bottle was empty.
He sighed in the empty room.
He felt like he was on his death bed, mearly moments away from his soul leaving his body.
Since he was too weak to move it meant that he couldn't make anything to eat. That's when it dawned on him that maybe sending his sister to work with no one to take care of him was the worst ideas he had ever thought of.
He inhaled in a breath as he moved his arm under his pillow and slowly pulled out his phone.
He looked at the screen and opened the phone with his fingerprint. He opened up his contacts and scrolled slowly to wear his sister's name was located.
After a moment, he found her name and pressed it making the phone call her.
He slowly pressed the phone towards his ear as it rang.
