12.5 • obligatory beach episode

"The beach?" You stare at Rindou and Ran who are excitedly waiting for your answer sitting behind the kitchen counter.

The months passed quicker than expected, especially after you told Rindou of your fears. He ended up discussing things with Ran and the two swore to never bring any danger to you or get you anywhere near dangerous situations.

After that your life went back to normal. Normal meals, normal sleep, normal dreams of part of your future as well as normal interactions with the brothers. Well, not normal but as normal as you remember the first interactions with them.

They care for you much more nowadays. Sometimes doing the dishes, sometimes the laundry. Ran even wakes up early sometimes to go shopping for groceries. Weirdest of all are the times they take over cooking, after all you took over most of that stuff when you moved in. They treat you with more care and respect than ever before, and while you're not complaining it does make you wonder how much they value you as a friend and partner. Because apparently more than you originally thought.

Taking you out to eat or to the small festivals when it got warmer was normal, but the beach? Yes the heat is rising and summer has come but you never even thought of visiting the beach as you never went there before. The housemaids never wanted you to go there alone so you didn't.

"We can buy you a nice bikini too. I'm sure Rindou would like that." Ran gets slapped on the shoulder by his brother. "I mean, I don't mind. I was just surprised you'd offer to go." Ran cheers a little and Rindou gives you a big smile with his eyes closed. They seem to be happy so why not indulge in their enjoyment.

You got ready to go out the same day, dressing in casual comfy clothes. Stolen from Rindou of course.

Your goal was the mall to look for a nice looking two piece to wear to the beach, hoping to find something simple yet eye-catching to rile up Rindou. You want him to compliment you and maybe even do other things. More physical things. You simply want a reaction out of him, whether that be sexual or pure romance doesn't matter.

You took the train to central Tokyo, walking into the first mall you see before looking for a clothing store. You find one that you've been to before and enter it. The workers greet you and you politely bow your head a little before walking straight to the bikini section. You look at all the different styles and patterns, colors and sizes, feeling a little lost.

Your first grab is a simply black two piece but you recon that it's too simply and put it back. Next your eyes land on a pink and white stripped set of high rise bottoms and a triangle shaped top. You pick your size and go to the changing room.

You make sure it fits nicely before going back to the summer section. A cute summer hat and sunglasses catch your eye so you take them with you as well. The cashier checks you out and you're off on your way again. You make a quick stop at the drugstore to get sunscreen for you and the brothers before heading out the mall. There's nothing you need or are particularly interested in so there's no point in staying any longer.

In the end you only spent around 30 minutes inside of the mall.

"Find anything good?" Ran lets you in after you came home as you don't have a key yet. "Yep!" You walk in to take off your shoes, quickly taking your bag to your room, hiding it from the brother's curious eyes. After that you come back out, seating yourself next to your boyfriend who's sitting on the couch.

"Not gonna show me the stuff you bought?" You shake your head, laying down and setting your legs on Rindou's lap. "It's a surprise. Even for you." While he does groan and roll his eyes, Rindou doesn't actually bother to insist on seeing what you got. He doesn't mind anything you wear as he's confident that you won't let anybody near you.
