The Haitani's don't celebrate Christmas and well, neither do you. It only reminds of the terrible times you spent with foster families only for them to give you up before the year even ended.

So instead of setting up a tree and buying each other gifts you decide to bake some sweets and cook a nice meal for your family. Waking up extra early to start before the brothers wake up.

First you tackle the cake, making the batter and putting it the oven before moving on to cookies. The dough has to sit in the fridge for an hour anyways. While waiting for the cake to finish you sit on the couch watching a TV show you're not particularly interested in. Once your timer goes off you take it out and replace the cookie doe with the cake, cutting out simple shapes with a knife before putting them in the oven.

You wait another half an hour to prepare both the cake and cookies. You frost the cake and decorate the cookies, leaving both to look pretty but simple to not portrait any kind of festive atmosphere.

Once the sweets are done you move on to prepare breakfast, you've eaten out more the last few days so a hearty and healthy homemade breakfast will do all of you good. You let the rice cook and while waiting for that you prepare the vegetables and fish, letting them simmer and cook for the right amount of time. When everything is done you cook up a broth, filling the rice filled bowls with it before topping everything off with the veggies and meat.

You make sure everything is set before heading to Ran's room, peaking in before stepping inside. To no one's surprise the older Haitani is still sound asleep, slightly snoring and drooling.

"Ran." You call his name while shaking his shoulder, making sure to be gentle yet firm at the same time. You try again and again until he finally cracks open his violet eyes, staring at you but seemingly not registering what you want. "Ran go get ready, breakfast is waiting." He hums in agreement before turning his head to the other side, closing his eyes again.

"Ran, come on!" You pull on his blanket and he tries to resist but in his sleepy state he has no chance against you, who's been awake for roughly two hours. "Get your ass up! Breakfast is ready." You manage to snatch his blanket, flinging it across the room before making your escape.

Next you go into your bedroom, eyeing Rindou who's also still sound asleep. It's a miracle that you haven't woken him up while getting out of bed.

"Rin. Wake up." You nudge his shoulder before reaching up to move some of the blond and blue strands out of his face. Rindou immediately moves around, stretching and groaning before opening his eyes to look at you. "Morning Sunny." His voice is deep and still very much laced with sleep. You smile at him. "I made breakfast, get up." You give his cheek a quick kiss before leaving the room.

You enter the kitchen and see Ran sitting in his chair, blanket over his shoulders, hair disheveled and eyes closed.

"Well at least you're up." He opens one of his eyes to look at you before quickly closing it again, tightening the blanket around his shoulders. "Wow, smells amazing." Rindou pops up behind you, smacking your ass before sitting down. You chuckle while shaking your head, watching the brothers in the morning always entertained you more than any show or movie on TV. The way they act so different is simply hilarious to you.

You sit down as well and you three start to dig in. Rindou complements your cooking like he always does and Ran only hums as he bites and swallows, letting you know he's enjoying it in his own way.

"What's the occasion?" You shrug, feeling Rindou's eyes on you "Haven't made breakfast in a while." He hums before going back to eating, satisfied with that answer.

In the evening you sit down with the brothers, watching a movie. Rindou has his head in your lap and Ran is half sitting half lying on the floor, surrounded by pillows and blankets to make himself more comfortable.

"Can we eat cake now?"

For the last couple hours Ran frequently asked you about the cake. Ever since he found it sitting in the fridge he hasn't stopped talking about it. You told him you're going to cut it in the evening so you might as well satisfy his desire for sweets now. "Sure. How about some face masks while we eat? Spa day?" You wiggle your eyebrows at Rindou who smiles up at you.

The brothers agree and while Ran basically teleports to the fridge you get up to get cream and some hair ties.

"Jeez, Ran slow down. It's not going anywhere." You frown seeing Annabelle scarf down his food, first piece almost done and second already on his plate. "Here I got you one as well." Rindou was so kind to cut you a piece while you went to the bathroom and you thank him while sitting down. All three of you enjoy the cake before the brothers let you put on the face cream, binding their hair up with the elastic. "I'll do yours." You give Rindou the tube of cream and the spatula, quickly putting your hair away with your headband. He gently lays down the cold cream, spreading it on your skin with soft movements.

"I won't die from it. Pack it on a little." You say after noticing how concentrated Rindou looks. His mouth is open and his head is tilted slightly up. He uses one hand to hold you by the neck while the other has the spatula. He sighs before using a little more cream, putting it on with a little more force. By far not enough to hurt you.

"Alright. Done." You put the cream away before returning to the couch to let Rindou rest his head on your thighs.

You enjoy the rest of the movie while snacking on the cookies, Ran eating most of them. Though the day might have not looked special it still felt that way to you as you got to take care of the brothers. As gangsters they often come home scratched up and slightly injured.

You're happy that today you had them home all day, caring for them in the best way you can.
