POV: (y/n)
The blue water sparkled as our raft sailed away from the island. Sammy and Kenji were at the back, splashing water on each other, and Yaz, who was tying down some of our supplies. Me, Ben, Brooklyn, and Darius smiled at them as we tied the rest down. We turned and watched as the distance between us, and the island grew.
"Goodbye, Jurassic World," Darius said.
Suddenly we saw Bumpy, who sadly bellowed at us as we left. That hurt my heart a little, I was gonna miss her, but there was nothing for it now. It was time to go home.
"Goodbye, Bumpy," Ben said sadly.
I put my hand on his shoulder and gave him a little squeeze. Darius did the same.
"Wooooohoooo! Haha! See ya never, stupid Dino Island!" Kenji yelled.
I facepalmed. "Not helping," I grumbled.
"You thought you could eat us? No way!" He continued, "You thought you could stomp on us? Think again!"
"Yeah! You thought you could crush our spirits? Impossible!" Sammy added.
"Yeah!"
"Whoo-hoo!"
"To be fair, the island did crush my spirit," Ben said.
"And my ability to walk for a bit," I added
"That doesn't matter," Ben said
I deadpanned.
"Because I defeated Toro." He finished.
"Ugh... Not again." Yaz groaned.
"Well, Bumby likes it when I tell it."
"Do we tell him that we also defeated Toro the night he fell?" I whispered to Darius.
Suddenly the waves got more rough sending everyone stumbling to the ground.
"Um... guys?" Brooklyn warned.
We all looked up and gasped. A large tidal wave was coming right towards us.
"Everyone, secure the vines!" Brooklyn shouted.
"How?" Yaz asked.
"I don't know. Pull on them?"
"I don't think that's gonna help," I said, simply.
"You said you had raft experience!" Yaz shouted.
"I said some raft experience. Some!" Brooklyn shouted back.
"Oh! So only some of us will die."
"The wind is strong. We can just power through." Brooklyn suggested.
At that moment the sail's lines snapped, and the sail flew off.
Yaz glared at Brooklynn.
"Don't look at me! I wasn't there when you guys set up the sail!" Brooklynn said.
"Yeah! You were off with (y/n) doing what exactly?" Yaz shot back.
"Uhhh..." Brooklynn and I said, looking at each other awkwardly.
We all looked up as the wave grew and crashed over us.
TIMESKIP
We trudged through the forest sourly. Our moods were not good.
"Whose job was it to look out for obstacles?" Kenji asked.
"(y/n)'s." Yaz and Brooklynn muttered then glared at each other.
