"Come on kiddo, last day of sophomore year," dad yelled as he walked through the hallways, clapping his hands together.

"No more school, no more school," Alex cheered as I heard his door swing open. I didn't say anything as I sat at my vanity, finishing up my makeup. That was, until dad knocked on the door.

"I'm hurrying, I'm hurrying," I called out. I capped my mascara, then jumped out of my chair. After sliding on my Air Force 1's, I rushed downstairs where everyone was.

"Last day of school," Ashton cheered. I just nodded as I looked in the microwave, adjusting my hair. For the last day of school, I was matching with my friends. We all wore black biker shorts and our school crew neck. Under I wore a white tee shirt since it could get hot.

"And soon your birthday," Calum added. "Sweet sixteen,"

"I can finally get my license," I smiled.

"Can't believe you'll be driving soon," dad mumbled.

"She can drive me to the trampoline park," Alex grinned, shoveling pancakes into his mouth.

"We can always take you, buddy," Michael laughed.

"Dad, can you take me early? My friends want to get last day pictures,"

"Yeah, I want a picture of you and Alex first," he said and I nodded. Michael quickly wiped off Alex's face, then we went over to the front door so the guys could take pictures.

"Ok, ok," I said.

"No, just one more," dad said.

"Mines blurry,"

"You guys were blinking,"

"I want another,"

"Guys, seriously," I laughed. "I'm gonna be late,"

"Can you take Alex?" dad looked at Ashton, who nodded.

"My day anyways,"

I grabbed my bookbag, phone, and airpods, then said a final goodbye before rushing out to dad's car. The drive was pretty silent, until he had broken that, "Tonight Michael said he would take you driving,"

"Am I doing better?"

"You're doing fine, you just need to loosen up a bit,"

"It's a hunk of metal going super fast, we could die," I argued.

"I know, but when you're terrified it gets you worked up. Be aware, but be calm, it'll help a lot," he told me. "And on your birthday we can go get your license,"

"What if I fail?"

"Try again,"

"I really want to get it, all my friends have theirs,"

"Did they get it first try?"

"Macy failed her first try, so did Fletcher,"

"Don't beat yourself up about it then. People fail, that's ok," he reassured me and I nodded. We finally made it to school and he dropped me off out front. Quickly, I rushed in and saw my friends waiting at my locker.

"Kenzie," Paisley squealed, hugging me tightly.

"Last day of sophomore year," Connor smiled, putting an arm around me, which made my face turn red. Macy and Paisley raised their eyebrows before giggling. "Pictures?"

"Couple first," Macy said.

"We're not dating," I reminded her.

"Might was well be," Paisley sang, which just embarrassed Connor and I more. Did I have a crush on Connor? Absolutely. Honestly though, I don't think he felt the same.
