"This kid's gonna give me a heart attack," I mumbled, making Calum laugh.

"She's growing up, can't change that,"
"I know,"

"Just remember when we were her age," he reminded me, "we did so much worse,"

"True,"

"We'll help with the party, you worry about the driver's license," he told me.

"That makes me nervous,"

"Did you get the car?" he questioned.

"Yeah, I did. It's parked at Crystal's, so Michael is going to bring it Wednesday if she passes. If not we'll wait till she does,"

"Perfect," Calum smiled. "I'm sure she'll pass,"

Before I could respond, Alex was running downstairs, "Daddy," he hugged my leg.

"What's up, bubba?"

"There's a monster in my room," he mumbled.

"Jeez, Ali," I sighed. "We've been over this, there are no monsters,"

"There is,"

"Are you sure Uncle Ash isn't snoring?" Calum asked and Alex nodded.

"I'll go check it out," I told him and he nodded. As I went upstairs, my phone rang and I saw Sierra's contact pop up.

"Hey," I greeted when I answered.

"Hey, quick question," she spoke. "I know this is last minute, but my friend bailed on me to check out the winery tonight. Would you want to go? At eight?" she asked, which surprised me.

"Me?" I questioned with my heart racing.

"Well I did call you," she joked.

"Yeah, I would love to," I grinned.

"Perfect,"

"I can pick you up at 7:30?" I asked.

"I can drive-"

"Don't worry about it, just send me your address,"

"Thank you,"

"Not a problem, see you then,"

"Ok, bye," she said. I hung up and quickly looked under Alex's bed, then rushed into my own room, finding a nice suit and quickly throwing it on. I moved onto my hair, but Kenzie had knocked on my door.

"Dad," I opened the door and caught her off guard. "Why are you dressed up?"

"I'm going to a winery with a friend,"

"A friend?" she raised an eyebrow.

"Yes,"

"Your three friends live here,"

"Ouch,"

"Who are you going with?"

"Sierra,"

"She's a girl,"

"And?"

"Is she your girlfriend?" Kenzie folded her arms over his chest.

"No, but if she was I would have told you,"

"You're not allowed to date," Kenzie came in and sat on my bed.

"Why not? You are,"

"But I'm a teen, you're a," she thought for a moment, "dad,"

"If I were to date, but I'm not," I said as I sat down next to her, "I would tell you and Alex, and let you meet her. I wouldn't bring somebody into my life without letting you and Alex meet her first,"

"I like our family just the way it is," Kenzie laid back on my bed.

"I do too, but you would like Sierra," I chuckled. "She's nice,"

"I need to meet her before you date her,"

"You will,"

"So you do like her?" Kenzie questioned.

"Stop twisting my words," I laughed. "Now, do you want to help me with my makeup or not?"

"Fine, but I'm not happy about it," she mumbled.
