STAR: IT STARTED WITH COFFEE

"Coffee?" Mingyu offered as Satine rose from her slumber. Her auburn hair was wild and messy and his hoodie was bunched up around her waist, accidentally revealing the little lace panties he tore off the night before. He had rarely seen girls in that circumstance, looking so gloriously natural with their puffy eyes and plump reddened lips.

She must have slept well and for some reason that made him feel really, really good.

For the past forty-five minutes, he had been impatiently pacing around, wondering why she hadn't snuck out early like he would have done. In all honesty, he had no idea what to fucking do. Her presence, whilst somewhat rousing, was almost maddening as well.

She didn't answer straight away, only because she was lifting her arms above her head for a morning stretch. Mingyu didn't mind though; he was too busy admiring her to even notice the liquid spilling out of his mug onto the floor.

A little giggle radiated Satine's frame once she glanced through the sliding door at her drooling host. "Coffee would be great, thank you. Black and preferably in a mug?" She lowered her sleepy brown eyes to the floor where a puddle sat. Mingyu immediately cleared his throat out of embarrassment and rushed for some paper towels.

"Oh. Yeah. Great. Of course."

Why did this girl make him so nervous? He had been around women every day for the last four years and never reacted so pathetically.

Out of all the places Satine imagined she would be staying in when she got to New York, a small loft above a dingy bar was not at all what she was expecting. Though, the topless male tossing a grape into his mouth whilst he mixed their beverage did make the place look that tiniest bit more appealing.

"So..." she started, sitting down at the breakfast bar, "what does a musician do when he's not absolutely blowing away a crowd?"

She learned pretty quickly that Mingyu didn't respond well to compliments.

"Erm, I write music I guess..."

She wanted more. She wanted to learn everything there was to know about him. "Yeah, but I'm sure you don't do that all day?"

"Sometimes I start drinking earlier."

She also learned that he was a man of very few words.

Satine just nodded and avoided gazing for too long. She was going to find it impossible to focus when someone as attractive as him was around.

"Look..." Mingyu's change of tone had her back straightening out. "I don't do this often- Wait who am I kidding? I never do this..." He turned around so he didn't have to look at her whilst he spoke.

"Go on?"

"I don't do this. I don't have women back here like ever. So, I don't really know how to act."
