The Bond of Sisters: Aquarius (f) and Libra (f)

*This is not a oneshot, but a short story of sisters Aquarius and Libra

Setting: Years of abuse goes by, and Libra feels like she's weak and a lost cause. Her sister, Aquarius, has had enough of her husband, Scorpio, and decides to take action. Once Aquarius stands up to him, Libra tries to do the same.

Characters:

Aquarius (f) - Police Chief

Libra (f) - Sister of Aquarius, wife of Scorpio

Scorpio (m) - Husband of Libra

Libra POV:

I'm slammed against the wall as Scorpio shoves me. The reason? I waved and smiled at Sagittarius, his rival in his company. Anger seethes through him as he undoes his belt.

"Please... please, don't hurt me" I plead.

He scoffs. "Don't hurt you? Well, you should've thought of that before you flirted with that prick"

"I'm telling you! I didn't do anything!" 

"Don't talk back to me! I've had enough with your fake lies and love. You're going to get what you deserve"

Numb. I feel numb. This isn't the same man who loved me all those years ago. Where did things go wrong? Was it after he started drinking?

I brace for impact, but it never comes. Instead, Aquarius, my sister, bursts into the room and has her pistol pointed at him.

"Don't hurt her, you piece of ****" 

Startled, he turns around and stops. Aquarius walks over to him and gives him a slap across his face. At that moment, all I see is hope. All I see is me, getting what I wanted all along. For Scorpio do be put in his place by someone. Feeling a surging of strength run through me, I walk over to Scorpio and hit him where the sun don't shine, and then I punch him in the face. I keep on hitting him, scratching him, slapping him, until he's red in the face and has a black eye. 

"Libra. That's enough. This bastard has taken what he deserves. And now, he'll be taken to prison" Aquarius says.

Handcuffs are put on him, and he's forced out of his own apartment. I feel happy, knowing he got what he deserved. 

I finally feel free, I finally escaped out of this hell hole. 

And for the first time in my 8 year marriage with Scorpio, I feel happy, blissful happiness. 

Author's Note:

This was a short one, but I feel it really encapsulated a typical abusive relationship. Scorpio is seen as very possessive, jealous, and powerful when angry. Abusers are not visible at first, and they may be normal people who seems nice and sweet the first time you meet them, as what happened with Scorpio.
