Setting: Leo and Scorpio are both at home watching a horror movie. What they don't know, is that the exact same plot of the movie comes to life, and they're deemed to survive before the night ends.

Leo POV:

I glance at my boyfriend and smirk. I knew he never wanted to watch horror movies because he was scared, but I loved them, and today was Halloween.

"Babe, we're watching a horror movie today" I said.

"No, we're not. And if we were, then I'd rather watch your face" he said.

"You're calling my face horror?"

"Yes. If horror wasn't a genre, it'd be your face"

"Then your face is horror-ible"

Scorpio groaned, but I couldn't help it. I never missed the opportunity for a good pun.

"Whatever, darling. We're watching this movie whether you like it or not" I push in the DVD and wait for the loading screen to come on.

"I'm only watching this cuz it's Halloween. No other reason"

"Sure, Scorpy, sure" I taunt.

Despite making fun of him all of the time, I loved him dearly. To me, he was a cute boyfriend who loves watching rom-coms and eating marshmallows all day. There wasn't a single bad bone in his body. He was also considerably taller than me, so this fact of his being an absolute sweetheart was kind of ironic.

"Can you sit by me?" Scorpio asked. He looked scared out of his mind and the movie didn't even start yet.

"Of course, you big baby" I go over to him and wrap my arms around him. He seems content and calms down a little bit. The movie starts playing and  I snuggle into him a little more.

The premise of the movie is pretty simple to understand: There's an overly oblivious character trying to survive the night of a killer who's in her house. The people who die are the ones who are in a) a relationship, b) split up, and c) try to fight the killer. It's horror 101 to know not to do any of those things, yet in every single horror movie I see, the same cliches are put in it.

The movie ends with the main character escaping death just barely, and the killer leaving the house to go to another. In my defense, if I was in the film, I would've chopped his big head off. But that's just me.

I look over to see Scorpio sleeping, the first time he's ever done that with a horror movie. He would be in tears by now in any other time.

Smiling, I lean over him and kiss his forehead. His eyes flutter open and smiles once he notices it was me who did that.

"I can't believe I slept through that" He laughs.

I laugh, too and I hug him close.

Not before long, the door to our house rings. I look to Scorpio and say "Babe, there's someone at the door"

"Yea, I don't think I noticed" He says deadpanned.

I hit his shoulder. "I'm being serious! Are we expecting somebody?"

"No, at least, I don't think so"

"Should I check who it is?"

Scorpio shrugs but nods his head.

I walk over to the door and glance through the peephole. I notice a dude wearing all black and carrying a bloody knife... just like the one in the movie.

"Scorpio?"

"Yes, my love?"

"A guy holding a bloody knife is at the door. I think he looks like the same guy that was in the movie"

Scorpio curses and quickly walks over to me.

"Do you think I should open the door?"

"Yea, but don't let him touch you. It's not safe. Get a weapon or something"

"For some reason, I have a taser, so I'll use that"

"Yea, yea, go and electrify that son of a gun"

Scorpio laughs and squeezes my hand before unlocking the door and going outside. He strikes the man with the knife and tazes him, sending him falling to the ground.

Knowing that the masked killer could go to another house once he comes to, I take his knife and stab him at the heart. Once I do this, the killer disappears in black mist and I'm left sitting on the doorstep of our house.

"What was that?" Scorpio asked.

"I don't know. I think it meant that we survived our own horror story"

"Well, then it wasn't fun at all. How come we got to beat him in a few minutes while movies all around the world take 2 hours to beat the killer?"

"I have no idea. I guess that means we're special"

"Specially gifted you mean" He says and I roll my eyes.

"Come on, let's head back inside. I don't think I'll be able to sleep soon, so we can watch one of your movies for tonight"

"Yes!" Scorpio pumps his fist into the air. Sometimes I forget that he's a kid at heart, and that makes me smile all the more.

I kiss his cheek and walk over to the couch to put a movie on and motion for him to sit next to me.

We huddle together and watch his favorite rom-com for the next 2 hours.

Author's Note:

This oneshot was fun to write. The horror part was brief because our two main characters are smart as hell (lol). Honestly, though, horror movies would be a few minutes long if the main characters were smart enough and didn't get themselves killed.

Anyways, let's move on to the next one!
