Emmett's POV
I was excited to show off what I was capable of to them. "Alright, can I pick you up?" Even though I want to hold them no matter what, I have to have permission. I am a gentleman for (Y/N).
"Sure?" They were a bit confused but stood up and raised their arms out to me anyway.
I squatted down and prepared to grab the back of their thighs. "Jump," I ordered, and they complied, using my shoulders as support. I grabbed the back of their thighs and hoisted them up. Their face was an inch from mine.
"Wow, you're so tall!" They peered at everything from their new height.
I smiled widely at them, and Rosalie approached us, placing her hand on their back. I saw us through a body mirror in front of us. I loved it.
We looked like a family; I know Rosalie must be happy. She would want a few kids. But first, we need to help them finish their education.
We could move into a quiet little town. We all get jobs, a nice family car, and a kid. Rosalie would love that.
"Emmett," their face was in my vision again. They looked concerned. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm good." I shook my head. "Let's roll!" I walked over to the balcony.
"Why are we going out here?!" They tightened their grip around my neck.
"Because we are going into the forest." I stepped onto the balcony's railing. "Hold on tight." I jumped down and sped through the forest. Rosalie and Edward were at my heels.
They squealed at the speed. "We are moving so fast!"
"I know!" I shouted back to them. "We are almost there. Hold on tight!"
I abruptly stopped at a vast clearing. The canopy above allowed a little bit of the moon's light. It was enough for all of us to see.
I put them down as much as I didn't want to. Their amusement and presence was the only thing saving my happiness. "Alright, what do you want to see? My strength?"
"You know, I'm the strongest of the Cullens." I encouraged.
"Yes, please!" They cheer; their eyes are sparkling.
I turned around to face a large tree that was about my size in width. I pulled it straight out of the ground; it released loud groans and snaps as I did.
I slowly turned to the side to get a look at them. They looked amazed by my stunt. Their hands were clasped against their chest. If I thought their eyes were sparkling before, they were now.
They looked like beautiful jewels in the moonlight. I dropped the tree back into its crater. The tree leaned against its friend in response.
Edward's POV
I took over from here in this little competition for their attention. "Hey, (Y/N). I'm the fastest; would you like me to carry you?"
I was pleased when they nodded, their smile growing. They opened their arms for me, and I picked them up swiftly.
"Ready?" They nodded; their head was against my shoulder. "Hold on tight!" I gave the cautionary order, and they obeyed.
I wrapped my arms around them for support. They looked like a little koala on me. "Here we go."
I sped through the clearing. The trees were a distant blur.
My speed forced them to press even more against me. I could feel their heartbeat; I felt every breath they took.
At one point, I saw two pale blurs that smelled like blood. I took several sharp turns to avoid them. I sincerely doubted that they saw the blurs in question.
"Should we head back?" They muttered into my shoulder. They had to hide their face a while ago. The gusts of air that came with my speed had hurt their eyes.
I let out a soft sigh. I did not want this to end yet. They seemed amazed by it; maybe I can convince them to let me do this again.
Jasper's POV
I felt it first; it was only for a fleeting moment. It was fear; it wasn't because of danger or distress. It was like they were experiencing something thrilling.
I knew who was feeling it, (Y/N). I smelled them as they sped past with that sick boy.
I wanted to know more; I was done feeding. "Alice," she popped up from the deer. "Let's go back to them."
"(Y/N)!" Alice cheered; she slowed down and threw herself on them. Both of them fell to the ground in the process.
"Alllicccee," they huffed, the air knocked out of them. "You smell like blood!" They whined.
Alice lifted herself to look at their face. Both of them burst into laughter.
"Alright, we should start heading back." They slowly lifted themselves, Alice following suit. They were still on the ground, and I took the opportunity to hoist them up.
"Thank you, Jasper." They hugged me.
I did not expect that, shouldn't there be a distance between us? I could have hurt them and their Guardian. Their normal life would have ended either way.
"Jasper! What are you doing back there?" They called me. Their voice is the only thing that can pull me out of my thoughts.
(G/N)'s POV
Everything was blurry and unfamiliar. The only thing familiar to me in my brief moments of consciousness was that woman.
I could not think of her name. All I knew was earlier, my baby was screaming. They were scared of her; something about being a vampire.
"Vampire lady," I called out to her. I can see her in the corner of my vision. My head felt so heavy as I turned to look at her.
"Yes," she appeared in my vision, looking over me.
"I want to think I can trust you. So, please, don't hurt them. They are all I have left." Tears slowly filled my eyes.
"I promise that I never intend on hurting them. You have my word that while they are with me, no one will hurt them."
