Mirror
By: Shuri🪶
In the mirror, I'm trying to see my reflection,
Turned out that I'm the reflection.
Who you are is who I am.
Ball bounces back when you throw it away.
"Tell me about yourself."
No, tell me about you
Otherwise, I'm just a blank canvas.
A liquid can't stay without a cup.
🪶
"Why are you shouting back?!"
Why are you shouting?
You're not mad at me.
You're mad at yourself.
You wished for a miracle from love,
But what you get was just a mirror.
Already shattered a long time ago,
Seven years of bad luck on the go.
🪶
You overestimated how much I can learn skills,
Yet you underestimated that I can learn your attitude.
Like mother, like daughter;
Like father, like son.
Genes too strong to deny,
I was born from you, after all.
🪶
I'm just a walking mirror of your dark side.
I'm the bad Alice of the looking glass.
Changing colors, I'm a chameleon.
A water can fit at any cup.
If you hate me,
Just hate yourself.
When will I be myself?
When will I have my own shape and color?
Even a reflection wants freedom from a mirror,
Time to break the glass without misfortune.
