There Goes My Dove
(Odyssey For You)
By: Shuri

🪶

I was young, innocent but curious,

What is love? I don't know.

But wanted to feel, mysterious

Despite the chances are low.

But as soon as I tasted,

It hurts and it's bitter.

I found myself wasted.

Oh I thought it's sweeter,

I thought it's heaven,

Then, I greeted by hell,

Someone save me from this fake heaven.

I fell from a bottomless well.

🪶

Grabbed your hand, it was there.

Lifeguard in the dark ocean of misery,

You're the warmth against cold air,

You're truly a lovely mystery.

I wish the moments will be forever,

Joy of spending time with you.

We don't need to be lovers,

Just being idiot with you.

Your face isn't clear in my eyes,

But you're always in my head.

Everything about you is a sunrise.

It shines brightly every morning.

🪶

Oh how much I want you to be mine,

But I know it's impossible,

Like a wall of glass called time,

Blocking the way, unstoppable.

If I was nine years older

Or you were nine years younger,

Would you take my words seriously

Or would you find love with another?

🪶

In the end, there goes my dove,

Flying with someone in the sky.

There goes you with my love,

I hope you'll continue to fly.

Don't look at me anymore,

No matter how broken I am.

I don't want you anymore,

Yet, you're still in my mind.

You're not a threat to my life,

But you left me with a deep scar.

Oh I can't see the sight

Twinkling for someone else like a star.

This is goodbye.

You'll never be mine.

I wish in the next life,

I can fly with you.
