Unprepared

Aaron's POV*

"Why are you being like this? I still don't understand why you are so jealous. Don't you trust me?" She asks and I puff my weed

"It's not that I don't trust you"

"So what is it?" She continues to drag it when all she could do is just avoid him

We have a tradition in the circle.

Whenever someone gets pregnant, We'd gather and celebrate the beginning of a new life. Having a child, means that you now have someone to live for and children's lives will be at risk.

We're on our way to Cheese's celebration at his AirBnB so I'm in a chill kind of mood

Not sit and listen to Kenya dragging this when all she could so is avoid the leech.

"Draw dah weed yah and whul medz" I say, stretching it to her

She hisses and I chuckle before putting it back at my mouth

We arrive and I see girls on the road, rocking to Jah Cure song 'you'll never find'

I look over at Kenya and she's smiling at Candice who is walking up to the car excitedly

"Park over desso mi Don" Nine says and I nod

"You'll never find, no one in this lifetime" Kenya sings before getting out of the car

She hugs Candice and they walk off together

Cheese and Nine walks to the car bonnet with a bottle of Ciroc and a bag with weed

"Jah know. Two a mi dawg dem lock in now" Nine says shaking his head and Cheese chuckles

"Cheers to being the last man standing" He adds before chugging the Ciroc and I look over at Kenya

She's sitting with Candice on the outdoor day bed with a drink in her hand, laughing

I move from the car Bonnet, walking over to her

I sit beside her and take a sip of her drink

"Yuh can manage dat?" I ask when the alcohol hits me, unexpectedly

Kenya's POV*

I'm still pissed at him for being unreasonable and jealous for nothing

Does he not know how much I love him?

I glare at him when he takes a sip of my drink, ignoring his question and he chuckles before kissing my lips

I feel Candice's weight being lifted off the bed and then I hear her footsteps

He pulls back and gently kisses my cheek before nipping at my ear

"Of course me love yuh. Yuh can ask dat?" He says referring to the other night when I asked

I guess he's out of the dark phase he was in

"That's not the question you should be answering" I say and he inhales before putting a pillow on my lap and laying on it

"One conversation lead to him a bring yuh flowers. Medz that. Things escalate quickly and you may not want it but we're living in reality. Not a fucking fairytale" He finally says
