Aaron's POV* | 12:45a.m

"It's late, why aren't you sleeping?" I ask

I just got back in.
After meeting with David, I spent the rest of the night at the lounge trying to figure out what to do about my current situation.

And for the first time in a long time, I have no fucking clue.

"I can't sleep" She responds and I sigh

I cannot stand the fact that she's hurting.
It's insufferable.

I walk over to her before pulling her in for a hug.
With her face buried in my neck, I lay on my back, taking her down with me and it stays like this for a while.

"Put on a yuh jacket" I tell her and she exhales

Without hesitation, she stands on her feet and makes way to the closest.

That's good.
No questions asked.

I grab my keys from the dresser and I head downstairs to the car.

She gets in shortly after and I drive out.

I stop at my bar first, to grab something strong for us to drink before driving to the beach.

We both need it.

"Watch your step" I tell her, as I guide her onto the rocks

I find the perfect spot to sit and I pat my lap for her to sit on.

Kenya's POV*

He pours a shot of vodka for me and I take it.
I wince at the strong taste and he chuckles.

That was desperately needed.

It's twelve in the morning, we're sitting on rocks at the beach, drinking vodka.

This is perfect for my mental health right now.....I like this.

The view is breathtaking.
The cool breeze runs across my face, It's almost cold, but his body's temperature made it feel......good.

It's so refreshing, it cleared my head

It's so refreshing, it cleared my head.
I feel free.
The moonlit night is surcharged with calmness.

I inhale, and exhale as the vivid memories leave.

"Thank you" I tell him but it comes out with a sigh.

His fingers reach my chin, turning my face to him.
Our eyes lock and I turn my head.

He knows I can't keep eye contact.

"Kenya look at me" He says and I exhale before doing so.

"I love you" He says, his voice low and raspy.
It sends a shiver up my shine.

"I love you too" I respond
Our eyes still in contact.

He exhales; his jaw is clenched and I know he has something to say.
