Chanel barking woke me up and I look at the time

3:00 why she a make noise?

I hiss before getting up and going downstairs to give her water

"Yuh nuh know night from day?" I ask after taking her up and bringing her to the kitchen

I pour water into her bowl and then I open the cupboard, looking for a snack

Ruffles or Doritos?

I hesitate before taking up the bag of ruffles and I sit around the kitchen island

Chanel continues to throw a tantrum and I furrow my brows

"What are you seeing?" I ask

I look in the direction she's barking and I see a figure coming out of my mother's room

I chuckle
"Chanel wake yuh up to?" I ask before turning on the light and my smile drops when I see who it is

It's not my mother.

It's Dale

We both pause and I look away, avoiding the awkwardness

"Daddy?" My mother calls in a seductive tone, walking out in a lingerie and I face palm my self before turning the light back off

As if it could get any fucking worse...

In perfect silence...
I walk back up the stairs

The front door pushes open

It gets worse.

I hiss

I hear footsteps before the room door closes and I shake my head

Aaron turns the light on and his brows are furrowed
"Why are you awake?"

"Chanel" I simply say and he puts the car key on the sofa before walking to the kitchen

Him nuh see?

I know him too much... He knows exactly what's happening, he just chooses to not say anything

Or maybe him really nuh see.....

I walk back down the stairs and he's looking in the pots

"Food done?" He asks and I shake my head

"Yeah but I ordered pizza" I say before opening the refrigerator to take it out

She couldn't wait until she go in a her own place?

Sigh

I put four slices in a plate, then I put it in the microwave

"Britney gone?" He asks and I shake my head no

"Me like her" I add before moving closer to him and standing between his legs

"Yuh good?" He asks and I nod

"How was your day?"

"Busy" He plainly says and I roll my eyes

I want to know more

"What did you do?" I ask

"Business"

"What kind of business?"
He ignores my question and after a few seconds of glaring at him, the microwave stops.
