"Ya, me a hear say shooting gwan. Like him get shot before the car crash. Me all hear say wah man dead like 5 minutes from here so" Says a female

"Jamaica just a get worse. Wah the police fi a do dem nah do. Dem rather guh crape up eh people dem weh a try hussle pon eh road side than solve actual crimes" Says another voice in the background

I sigh before reading the comments

"Bomboclaat, Nuh dem bwoy deh me hear say wanted by police fi murder? Yes man. Either grave or prison and me glad grave reach him first cause him goodly nuh get good sentence"

"Jah jah. Rest In Peace choppa"

"Wah that?" He ask's and I show him the video

He hisses before turning his head and I continue to scroll

I exit the app before turning off my phone and I curl under his armpit

"Jah" I hear him whisper before turning on his side, cuddling me

"I have a question" I say and he exhales

"Aren't you afraid of death?" I ask

I look up at him and I blankly stare before touching his eyelids, playing with his eye and he furrows his brows before putting his face in the pillow

I try to get up, to annoy him a little more but his right arm is still stretched over me and I chuckle

He gets up and walks into the bathroom

I close my eyes
"Before I get up lord, guide and protect the man you've placed into my life. Forgive him for his sins as I'm sure you know he has no better fate. Thank you protecting him through the days lord and I pray that you continue. Thank you for waking us up to see this lovely day. I don't know what today may bring but I pray that you guide us through and no matter what obstacles may come our way. We'll get through. Amen"

I open my eyes and I see him standing over me with a smile and I face palm myself

"This a nuh the first morning me a hear yuh" He says and I feel his lips on my neck

He then moves to my ear
"I'm afraid of death now more than ever. Me have you fi live fah because you continuously pray for my life more than how you pray for yours and it says a lot.....I'm trying my best baby but I'm also trying to protect yours"

He then kisses me passionately and the deep affection gives me warmth.

He pulls back and I realize that my legs are wide open
