Anyways, this is set in Junior Year during Halloween (even though it's May))

You rubbed the cherry Chapstick into your lips. The scent bubbled up into your nose, masking the odor of the cheap cologne and body odor clouding the classroom.

Enrichment, when you sit next to Patrick. Particularly, he was your favorite student. He never smelled like he took a bath in 'Really Ripped Abs' or like he just ran a marathon. He always smelled sweet, like a fruit.

"Hey, Y/N." He turned his body toward you as soon as you sat down, showing complete respect and attentiveness.

You blushed and looked down, quickly pushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "Hi, Patrick."

"I like your hair like that. It's very cute."

You felt your ears heat up as you began to stutter out a response to his compliment. "T-Thank you." You smiled quietly.

Your supervisor, Mrs. Aldrin, stepped to the front of the classroom. She clapped her hands together and waited for the class to settle. "As you all know, tonight is Halloween. I'm sue you're all attending the party here tonight, no?" She paused, walking over to her laptop and connecting a cord to the large projector in the front of the room. "Let's get in the spirit, shall we?" She smiled, pressing play on an episode of The Twilight Zone.

After the episode of one of your favorite shows was over, she played The Conjuring (another one of your favorites) since you had block testing schedule today and your class was two and a half hours long.

You jumped (despite having seen the movie many times before) and caused Patrick to look over in your direction.

"If you're scared, you can come over here." He whispered.

You blushed again in the room lit only by the lines made by the blinds in the back of the room and the projector and scooted over closer to him.

Every time you'd jump, he would give you a quick squeeze, assuring your well-being. On several occasions, you would purposely jump to get his attention.

"You're so cute when you're scared." He smiled down at you.

You ended up snuggling into his chest, jumping half at the movie and half at your nerves.

The movie ended and Mrs. Aldrin dismissed the students to lunch.

"Y/N," Patrick asked, putting his pencil in his binder.

"Yes, Patrick?"

"I've been thinking recently, and I don't want you to feel pressured or anything, but-" he paused and sighed. "Do you want to go to that party with me tonight? I mean, if you weren't going to go in the first place, I-"

You cut him off my aggressively hugging the crap out of him.

"I'd love to! Halloween is my favorite time of year."

He was shocked at first, but quickly placed an arm around you as the two of you walked to lunch together.

You went to the party dressed as Victor and Victoria from Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride and won a small bronze award for "Cutest Couple Costume". After receiving it, the tradition was to kiss. Despite the fact that you were not (yet) a couple, the two of you shared a sweet, quick kiss on the stage in front of all the other students. A match made in Heaven, some may say.
