Chapter Twenty

I fiddle with the edge of my skirt, anxiety pulsing through my veins. We have been invited to the End Of Year 2022 Rosebud Music Award Ceremony. It's our first award show and I can't stop all of the intrusive thoughts.. Are we good enough to go to a big award ceremony..? What if we don't win anything..? What if something bad happens..? I look to the other girls of ISRY as they are chatting about who will be there.

I sigh softly as we arrive in front of a red carpet that leads to the building. They've really made the fancy huh..

I follow the members out of the car as paparazzi takes photos of us. I walk down the carpeted pathway, staying close to the other girls. I look around, giving slight waves to all of the cameras on us.

I follow our manager into the building, greeting staff and other groups. I look around the venue, taking in my surroundings. I'm actually here.. I look to our manager as he tells us to go into the hall and find a place to sit.

I follow Yoona as we make our way into the hall, rows of seats lining the walls. I look around seeing Moonbyul waving her arms around like crazy. I think she wants us to sit with her..

"I found us seats"

I lead the group through the crowd and past a city of seats as we make our way to where Moonbyul is. I smile softly at her ecstatic expression. I sit next to her, the rest of ISRY sitting the other side of me.

"Hey"

A soft grin rests on my face as Moonbyul places her lips against my cheek.

"It's good to see you"

I stare at the woman next to me as she leaves her hand on my upper thigh, letting all sorts of feelings and emotions rush through my body.

"You too.."

My eyes never leave hers as her hand gently moves, caressing my soft skin. I quickly look towards the stage as one of the presenters starts speaking.

The evening seems to drag, moving at a snails pace. Who knew it would be this boring.. I stare at the stage gulping as the presenter announces ISRY as the rookies of the year.

"What..?"

I look to Moonbyul as she shoves my arm, making me get up with the group. Tears quickly fork in my eyes as realisation sets in.

We won!

I sniffle, wiping my eyes as we make our way to the stage. A wide grin permanently places itself onto my face as everyone cheers for us. I move to the stage with the group, trying not to trip.

We bow to the presenters, greeting them. I thank them as I get given the award and Yoona gets given the microphone. "I.. Thank you so much.. ISRY has worked extremely hard for this award.. We will continue to work hard so we can produce the highest quality music. I would like to thank Hana for making sure we practice hard, Lihua for making us amazing food that fits our diet plans, Aki for reminding us we need breaks and Saemi for always giving us positive messages. ISRY will always work hard.. Thank you!"

We all bow to the audience, showing our gratitude for their support and loyalty as they applaude us. I wipe my tears once more as we move off of the stage. I hold the award delicately, as if I was holding a baby.

I follow the group back up to our seats, handling the award with the upmost care. I move past other people sitting as we make our way to our spots. I grin sitting back down next to Moonbyul.

I giggle softly as she kisses all over my face saying she's proud of me. A blush spreads across my face as she rests her hand on my cheek bringing me into a passionate kiss. On live television.

But I didn't care.

For once I didn't care about being seen.

I just care about being with her.

My lips move against hers. Embracing the loving kiss. Our lips move together, celebrating in an elegant dance. I rest my hand on Moonbyuls lap, the passionate kiss intensifying as a multitude of strong emotions burst from within us.

I gently pull away, staring into her love filled eyes. Out emotions are clearly the same.

We are in love..

At least I think she likes me back..

This doesn't feel fake anymore.. Is that a good thing? Or a bad thing? Either way.. I guess we don't have to act anymore..
