Someone Else's Star [occasional update]

"Order a CT.."

"What?" Amelia asked as if she didn't hear him as Alex turned the stool around and faced Amelia

"I wanna know if there's still a brain activity" Alex admitted

"Alex..." Amelia trailed off "it was a mild concussion and Tom fixed it, perfectly"

"What if we missed something? an aneurysm" he then suddenly blurted out

"Her scans were clear after the surgery, Alex she's fine,her body went through a lot and she's lost too much blood,her brain swelled and she coded in surgery..." Amelia trailed off softly "we have to let her body heal, what she suffered is not as easy as it sounds...we have to trust Meredith in this, she's a fighter"  she took Alex's hand into hers comfortingly, as he just nodded understandingly at her.

They again got pulled out of their conversation when a nurse came in.

"Yes?" Amelia questioned the nurse

"Uh Dr Bailey said, someone needs the room so Dr Grey will have to transfer  into a patients normal room since she's been stable since this morning" The nurse explained

"We'll handle that,thank you..." Alex said.

The nurse just gave them a small hesitant nod, before walking out of the ICU.

"You didn't have to snap at her like that" Nathan then stated "she was just doing her job"

"Why don't you do yours and walk the hell out of here" Alex spat back at him

"Alex" Amelia said warning him "Not here" she added

"Shepherd it's fine... I'll just come back later" Nathan then said before walking out.

"Why would you do that?" Amelia then asked, crossing her arms turning to Alex

"What?you're gonna take his side?" he raised an eyebrows at him

"I didn't say that..."

"I don't like the guy... that's it" Alex admitted turning back to Meredith.

"For Meredith?" Amelia asked wanted to knows. Silence, that's what she earned from him, she took that as a yes before she replied "Okay" she nodded.

Nick came back all dressed up with new fresh pair of clothes, his currently on his way to the ICU, Meredith's room, stopping at his tracks when he saw a different patient laying on the bed where Meredith's supposed to be in.

"Dr Marsh?" he turned around to see a nurse behind him "Are you looking for Dr Grey's room?"

"Y-yeah, where is she?" he asked facing the nurse

"They moved her into a regular patient room since she's been stable since this morning..." the nurse explained, earning a confused looking at Nick, clearly wanting to know more "Chef's order" she added

"Ohhh... right, what's her room number?" he then asked,as the nurse didn't said a word and just look at him "What room did they move her into?" he asked again

"I'm sorry... you have to ask Dr Karev,he doesn't want anyone go near Dr Grey's room... without his permission"

"I'm sorry what?" he asked frowning,as if he didn't hear her

"Excuse me, Doctor" with that,she left

Nick then made his way to the attending lounge hoping he would see Alex in there,or maybe Amelia or Maggie.

Stopping at his tracks as he saw Meredith's figure in a room as he was walking down the hallway, peeking through the door's window he saw her vitals were still stable, her bruises seems to be healing great,and the gauze on her head seemed like they had just change it,then he saw Alex sleeping on the chair near Meredith's bed.

"You shouldn't be in there,yet" he jumped slightly as he heard Maggie behind him "Sorry... didn't mean to scare you" she added, smiling apologetically

"It's okay...uum what do you mean I shouldn't be in there?" he then asked, confused

"Alex's in the mood... he snapped at Nathan earlier" Maggie chuckled

"Nathan's here?" Nick then asked "since when?"

"Since you left this morning, didn't you know?" Maggie gave back

"We haven't talked since you know — something happened" Nick answered hesitantly

"What really happened?" Maggie asked,facing Nick,as he mirrored her

"What do you mean?" he asked

"You broke up with my sister because you saw her in Nathan's bed naked..." Maggie stated "why are you so mad at her for that when you're the one who broke up with her" she added, slightly confused "wait, were you broken already when they slept together?" she then asked

"We weren't okay when that happened,the following day she told me she's pregnant and pretty sure it's Nathan's because we didn't have sex in weeks before" he tried to explain

"Why are you guys not okay anyway?"
Maggie asked
