"Has she woken up yet?"

The next day

Alex got back home to Seattle and immediately went to the hospital after taking a bath.

He entered inside Meredith's room, seeing Amelia and Maggie were already there, sitting on the couch as Nick walked out of the bathroom.

"Where were you?" Maggie immediately asked, frowning at him

"I uh... I had a thing I needed to do" Alex answered, walking further inside the room as he stoon next to Meredith's bed.

"You were on a plane yesterday and didn't tell us where you are!" Amelia growled at him, trying to control her annoyance

"Look, I'm sorry... it was important" Alex gave back defeatedly, trying to defend himself

"More important than Meredith?" Nick butt in, crossing his arm

"What are you doing here anyway?" Alex then hissed at him

"I have a right to be here, I'm her boy—"

"Don't try to finish your words... it makes me wanna puke" Maggie sighs in annoyance, throwing her hands in the air

"You're not supposed to be here, you can't be" Alex then stated

"And why not?" Nick asked,as Amelia and Maggie were watching them completely confused

"Because any minute now someone's gonna come in and beat you" Alex said flatly "most likely put you in a hospital bed as well"

"Who exactly are we talking about?" Amelia asked,now utterly confused

"He's back" Alex sighs,as a response to Amelia

With that,they didn't have to ask another question because they already knew who he was talking about.

"Wait who's back?" Nick asked, hoping for an answer

"Meredith's husband" Maggie answered shortly

"I'm sorry..... he-her what?" Nick asked again as if he's that dumb to not understand their words or he's just really in shock "Ho—how is she married?" he then started more to himself

"Where is he now?" Maggie asked Alex, nervousness creeping inside her

"He'll be here in an hour, that's what he said" Alex sighs, sitting on a stool next to Meredith's bed, taking her hand into his

"What did you tell him?" Amelia asked, seemed to want to know everything

"I told him Meredith had an accident and went into a coma and hasn't woken up yet since the surgery" Alex tried to explain

"You didn't tell him she was ra— touched" Maggie changed her words,the thought of someone sexually harassed their sisters makes them wanna kill the person who did it

"You want me to tell him that his wife got harassed?" Alex asked, ironically but seriousness were still hearable in his voice "I couldn't even form a word when he asked me what happened and why Meredith had gotten into a coma"

"Since when is she married and wh—why didn't I know about it?" Nick asked, trying to catch their attention since no one really wants to talk to him right now

They didn't answer him, neither the three of them want to explain to him about Meredith's secret marriage he had no idea about until a few minutes ago.

Maggie was called to the ER and Amelia for an emergency craniotomy,as Alex was left by the nurse' station outside Meredith's room checking on some of his patient's charts,Jo standing next to him.

Meanwhile, Nick is outside the hospital waiting in line for a coffee as a tall blonde woman stoonld next to him.

"Excuse me?" the woman called, slightly tapping his shoulder as he turned around facing her "is this "The Coffee Stand" cart?" she asked softly,her voice sounds so sweet and calm,but her question confused him making him frown "I meant the coffee cart... that's what it's called right? 'The coffee stand' ?" she tried to explain, letting out a shy chuckle making Nick smile as well
