"As far as I'm concerned, the woman should walk into a basilisk den and die."

Kat blinked wildly, "Merlin, Amanda."

The Gryffindor rolled her eyes. "Oh please, don't act as if you don't agree."

"That's beside the point. If she sends another letter to my father then that's it for Bash and me. I need to like, I dunno, avoid her and get Outstanding's on every assignment." Adelaide sighed.

"Well her assignments aren't hard. It is all stuff we learned in first year." Kat said.

Mindy nodded in agreement, bumping Addy's shoulder before skipping forward to the common room. They had just finished a D.A. meeting and the two Hufflepuffs decided to go back to the Gryffindor common room to hang out as opposed to their own. Which was no shocker to anyone these days.

They got to the common room after the twins, Bash, and Lee had, so when the group of four had thrown some sort of smoke bomb in their direction – but missed, hitting an unfortunate second year, they hadn't been too surprised. Fred snickered as Mindy sent him a nasty look and threw herself into a chair by the fire.

Kat rolled her eyes and joined the group of boys, sliding next to George and smacking the back of his head lightly. Addy laughed at them and sat on the sofa. She pulled out a few notes and a book that Trelawney had told her to go over before their next lesson and quietly thumbed through the pages. Every couple of minutes other students would enter the common room and bid her hello and goodnight, but Adelaide found herself looking to the door every time it opened waiting to see a specific red-haired boy.

"What are you lot doing for Christmas?" Kat asked.

Addy and Bash both looked at each other with wide eyes. This was not a conversation either one of them wanted to have. Both of them wanted to ignore it for as long as possible. Lee shrugged, "I think we're going to my auntie's in London for a few days."

"Dad and I are supposed to go to London too. I dunno why though. He said something about changing it up for the holidays." Mindy spoke up without looking away from the letter she had been writing.

"We have a full house at the Burrow this year." Fred joked. George leaned over and placed his head on Kat's shoulder, "But never too full if you wanted to join."
