Adelaide walked down the hallway side by side with Ron. The boy hadn't really left her side since the night at the tree. It was like he constantly sought out the Hufflepuff, not that she was complaining. The silence between them wasn't awkward, but Addy's mind had been running a mile a minute.
They stopped in front of the ladder for Trelawney's classroom and Addy leaned against the wood, looking up at the Gryffindor through her lashes. He rummaged through his own bag to pull out whatever spare books she had been carrying before he had found her and snatched them away.
It was her final lesson before the Christmas holiday and to say she was nervous was an understatement. She was constantly on edge these past few days between her exams and her and Sebastions return to Greenwood Manor soon was not helping anyone.
Ron finally got her books and held them out to her, "You'll be fine."
Addy offered him a weak smile and reached for the books, only for them to be pulled back and above Ron's head. "That'll cost you." The red-haired boy smirked, leaning against the ladder and looked down at Adelaide. She rolled her eyes playfully, "I'm not in the mood for games Ronald."
The Weasley shrugged, "No games. Just chit-chat and a bit of snogging."
Addy couldn't help the laugh that erupted from her lips, bringing a smile to his face. "You are an idiot."
"Nothing new." Ron winked, lowering the books from above his head.
Addy pulled her bottom lip between her teeth and gave him a suspicious look. Ron just raised his eyebrows and she reached forward, but he pulled them away again. "Ronald, I am not snogging you in the middle of the corridor."
The boy simply shrugged, not showing any signs of backing down. The girl sighed, "Fine, keep them."
Addy pushed herself off the ladder and turned to climb it, but Ron pulled her back. He placed her books in her hands and she smiled brightly at him. The redhead let his eyes linger on her face before he leaned in and gave her a kiss on the corner of her mouth.
The brunette rolled her eyes at him but didn't say anything. She glanced back up at the ladder and sighed, before making eye contact with him.
Ron pressed his lips together, "I'll be here when you're done. We'll walk to DA together."
Addy closed her eyes, throwing her head back dramatically. Ron sighed and walked forward to pull her into a hug, "We can just skip out on it if you'd like?"
