Chapter 12

"Damn.. what if it's a jynx? What if I can never have sex with anyone but you two again? What if I can't have it with you two either?" - Jay

"Haha you're too much!" - Sejal

Jay sighed.. but the thought was horrible indeed.

A camel ride, Some delicious food & a latenight folk music show was just enough to make them forget the disaster of their roadtrip so far. Ridima & Sejal were both tired. While they went to sleep, Alia & Jay stepped out for a smoke at midnight.


"It's so beautiful. The sand dunes must look divine on a full moon night." - Alia sighed.

"It IS almost full moon. You wanna go into the dunes a bit?" - Jay asked lighting up his cigarette.

"Yeah sure. I'm not sleepy anyway.." - Alia.



They took heavy steps quite deep inside the dunes. Alia kept watching backwards, making sure they don't lose track of the lights for returning. After a while they reached the area less visited & almost no footprints. As expected, it sure was divine. They both laid down on sand, looking up in sky.

"This. This is what I live for." - Alia sighed.

"Also chicks & smokes." - Jay corrected her.

"Smoking hot chicks." - Alia.

"Too bad guys don't make it to that list." - Jay

"I've never been CRAZY about guys as such. Except for you and a few others." - Alia

"I never asked you.. when did you start liking girls?" - Jay

"Wow.. you're not gonna like this story!" - Alia

"What? Why?" - Jay

"Just kidding. I guess there's no harm telling you now. Remember we used to stay in same room at our Vijaynagar apartment?"

"Yes.. we shared everything with each other.. that's when we came closer, right?" - Jay

"Yes. I was seeing some guys and you were also hanging out with your classmate Zoya back then. We had just started getting physical with our partners to some extent, and we used to discuss it with each other.." - Alia

"I do remember, yes.. Zoya." - Jay looked at sky with a gleam in his eyes.

"Well one of those days, I came home early and I saw you two in the room.. kissing." - Alia

"Really?" - Jay

"Yes. I mean it was probably no big deal.. but I still remember that sight. You were studying together. It was first time I saw you with a girl.. So I lingered behind the door. I was watching you two. You were engrossed in reading the book and she kept looking at you often. Suddenly she kissed your shoulder. You were surprised. She just kept looking at you again. You smiled and kissed her shoulder. She smiled. She then moved closer and kissed your neck. You too kissed her neck. Then she pushed you down on the bed and sat on your waist.. and bent down.. held your face, and kissed you on lips passionately. Her dupatta fell off, but she just moved her hair to one side.. leaving her beautiful neck exposed.. and leaned in again to kiss you.. and then she hugged you." - Alia

"Wow.. you remember all that..!" - Jay

"Yes. I was mesmerised by her beauty Jay. The way she kissed you.. with so much authority and intensity.. I felt - I wanna be kissed like that. I left you two alone after that, but I knew I wanted to masturbate thinking of her." - Alia

"Aww sweety I'm sorry.." - Alia pulled him closer in a hug. He hugged back.

"What happened later?" - Jay

"Well that incidence got me curious in girls, and I started mingling with the rumoured lesbian / bi girls. A kiss with someone.. cuddling with another.. and soon I realised I'm bi." - Alia

"Fascinating. Can I ask a cliche question?" - Jay

"Sure." - Alia

"Men or women?" - Jay

Alia laughed.

"This is probably 265th time I've been asked. Well.. It's never really about the sex. Not just about the sex. I feel we all have a X factor inside.. and if that attracts you, it attracts you. Doesn't matter what genitalia it comes with. People have all kinds of misconceptions about being bi. Some say we enjoy both the kinds. Some say we benefit from this condition. Some say we tend to cheat a lot. Some say we have threesomes a lot. Some say we are sex addicts who will just get in bed with any human. A lot of crap. No one makes such assumptions about a straight person though. We have equal right to enjoy sex.. whatever kind. We do love monogamy too. We like commitments too. We like honesty in a relationship too. Just because rest of the world likes burger, and we like burger & pizza both, it doesn't mean we eat both together at a time. If we are dating a girl, it doesn't mean we will start craving for a man one day & cheat on our partner or have a threesome. Having a taste for more than one gender, is not greed, or a benefit, or an asset. It's just who we are." - Alia

"I get it." - Jay.

"In short, I love whoever I'm in love with. I don't judge their sexual prowess. I judge the chemistry.. and it can be intense for any gender." - Alia.

"How much chemistry do you think you and I have?" - Jay asked pulling her even closer.

"Intense. Very intense." - Alia said wrapping her leg around him.

"All this chemistry and I still can't get laid. I think my sex life is jinxed now." - Jay

"You're an idiot. Sejal told me about this jinx bullshit." - Alia gave him a light slap on cheek.

"Trust me. I'm sure if I start making out with anyone now, something's gonna go wrong." - Jay.

"There's no such thing as jinx." - Alia

"There is! Right now we are in a desert. There's no one to interrupt us.. but I'm sure something will still go wrong." - Jay.

"You're so -

Jay shut her mouth with his mouth and hugged her tight. She kissed him back and bit his lip hard. He rolled her over and unbuttoned her shirt.

"The pact Jay..!" - she was breathing fast but she did nothing to stop him.

"Don't worry.. I'm sure something will go wrong!" - He laughed and tore her shirt open.
