47. Parents And Teens

It's really crazy how much we hide
From our parents, we teen, worldwide
They only know about our one side
Don't even have an idea what we are inside

We don't tell them about all the difficulties we face
Us, how many guilts and mistakes, currently chase
We hide all this in the name of 'personal space'
Because we imagine their reaction in the worst case

We are afraid they will only point out our mistakes
It will only result in a scoldings outbreak
With insults that will cause our hearts to break
This possibility, we aren't able to shake

But it really is not our fault
We have become teens by default
Our relations change, and at times, even come to a halt
Sharing every feeling feels like washing a wound with salt

Even if we hide, we are not to blame
Becoming a teen feels like burning in a flame
We get confused with our aim
It's really just a hormones game
For which, you don't need to feel shame!

Hey there, depressed souls! DrishKing008 is back with another poem. This poem revolves around the changes that come in the relationship between parents and their children when they grow up into a teen. A pretty straightforward and okayish poem. 

BUT, I have an announcement coming up here and I am bursting with excitement for that announcement. I don't recall being this happy and excited about anything in a long time. So, stay tuned. I will update here before the afternoon. Also, my exams are over so no more missing updates.

 ⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️: I am also thinking of bringing this poem collection to an end at 50 poems. RELAX! I have planned to publish a new collection as a continuation instead right away. I am not very sure why I am doing this...I just feel like 50 poems is a solid number for a poem collection. The upcoming announcement is also a reason for this. Being this my first ever poem collection, I have made a fair amount of mistakes while publishing here, in the beginning and I am thinking about having a fresh start and all. BUT, this is your collection as well. So, I am not going to take any drastic steps without getting to know your views upon the matter. Comment down what you think about it or feel free to even DM me regarding the matter. 

And guys, you have got an ample amount of time to decide. It's 47th poem. If I am completing this collection, I would do it after 50th poem. So, this is the time. You guys get to decide.
