Versification27. Pawn

6 2 0

Baby, was I just a pawn?
In a game of love that you played
Maybe, it was dusk, not dawn
Just a faint attraction, bound to fade

I treated you like a king but you treated me like a game
Now, you simply turn the tables, pushing me into the flame of blame

You knew I was all alone
With no shoulder to cry upon
Still dared to snatch my throne
But forgot, a queen can spawn from a pawn

I personally loved how this poem turned out and I hope you guys do too. Let me know your views in the comments. Only one draft is left now, which I will publish right after submitting this one. Then, I will rack my brain for the rest poems. They will be a bit delayed. Like in the afternoon or evening.
