It was the first snowfall for us
Do you remember it still?
We saw it start, from inside the bus
With joy, did your heart too overfill?
We were small, laughing and hugging
In what we called the 'frozen rain'
I can still feel you tugging
At my jacket, and hear myself complain
We were lying together in the snow
With glee, your face would brightly glow
At that time, I did not know
That like others, you would too go
We were kids enjoying ourselves to the brim
I would laugh as in the frozen lake, you tried to swim
The first snowfall, that I saw
Is just very special to me
I can't find a single flaw
In the night, I spent with you by the tree
Those white snowflakes
Would fall on your happy face
We together shared and ate cupcakes
Got entangled in each other's embraces
I know deep down in my heart
That night, gave you a great headstart
That moment, when we shared that stolen tart
Our friendship truly had a great start
I was dumb and you smart
We were each other's counterpart
Then, BFF escalated to sweetheart
Now, even if we have fallen apart
No matter what you say on your part
But that snowfall was truly a piece of art
