My Senior High in STEM had been somehow bearable with Davion. So as college. Bagamat halos igapang ko na lang ang mga major subjects ay grumaduate pa rin naman akong with honors nung grade 12.

"May kapit kasi,"

A lot of people threw hate on me for the recognitions I get which they believe I don't deserve. Hindi ko rin naman sila masisisi. The amount of donations my parents constantly give to the university would make anyone else think that way.

"May kapit ka naman talaga. Ako," Davion said while I was reminiscing about it. We just finished our class in one of our majors and are currently on our way to the next one.

The jackass always boasts about how effective of a tutor he was to me and all I can do is roll my eyes.

As if he didn't almost walk out on me a thousand times for not understanding the concepts no matter how much he tried to be patient in explaining it to me. Aminado naman akong bobo talaga ako sa Math. Davion's really good, though. He makes everything seem so effortless and easy even though it's not.

Kung hindi siguro dahil sa kanya ay malamang hindi ako makakatuntong sa 2nd year ng Mechanical Engineering. I would have never imagined myself in this path. But here I am now, following my Mom's footsteps.

Davion suddenly muttered a soft curse while gazing upfront. Bumagal ang mga hakbang niya. Sinundan ko ang tingin nito at namataan ang isang pamilyar na mukha.

Katya's face was fierce as she glare at both Davion and I. Her usual demure and refined composure was nowhere to be found. This is not the model student that everybody knows. This is not Katya.

Halos kilabutan ako nang huminto siya sa harap namin.

"Siya ba?" halos manginig ang boses niya. I was lost when she threw me a glance before returning her hawk-like eyes to Davion. "Siya ba ang dahilan, ha?! Are you with her? Pinagsasabay mo kami?!"

Nalaglag ang panga ko. Ibubuka ko pa lamang sana ang bibig upang tumanggi nang halos ambahan niya ako. Davion was quick enough to pull me behind his body.

I heard him heave a deep and heavy sigh. "Yes.."

Mas lalo akong napanganga sa narinig. I was just about to repulse when Davion's grip on my wrist tightened. It was as if he was telling me to stay put.

Tila isang pelikula na natunghayan ko ang lahat. Mula sa malutong na sampal na tinamo ni Davion hanggang sa pagsabog ng emosyon sa mukha ni Katya at pagbuhos ng luha mula sa mga mata niya. Her expression instantly changed from a ferocious tiger to a gentle kitty who's willing to do anything if he would let him.

It was literally a scene in the middle of the school grounds. Unti-unti nang nakakaagaw ng atensyon ang eksena mula sa mga dumadaan. Kulang na lang ay maglupasay si Katya sa sahig. Hindi ko alam kung kanino maaawa. Kung sa kanya o kay Davion na pinagmumura at halos isumpa niya kanina.

I don't know how the news reached Katya's friends but thank God they came to get her. Halos magpupumiglas pa ito habang hinihila nila palayo.

I was so out of it even when it was already just me and Davion, sitting on the bench in the field.

"Why did you do that?" hindi ko pa lubos mahanap ang boses habang tinitignan siyang namumula ang pisngi at gusot-gusot ang pang-itaas dahil sa bawat hila at hampas ni Katya kanina.

I don't know what to feel. Hearing him got called names, be cursed, and receive hurtful words for allegedly being with me makes me clueless on how to react knowing the there is, in fact, nothing between us. I know better than anyone else that Davion's no saint but that, earlier, is something I don't think he deserves. Kasi nga hindi naman totoo! Wala namang kami!
