Pakiramdam ko'y hindi pa rin tuluyang nagsisink-in sakin ang namamagitan sa amin ni Davion. Parang wala naman kasing nagbago. Close na kami bago pa man mangyari ang lahat ng ito. If anything, naging mas malapit lang kami sa isa't isa. But the rest is basically the same for me. May mangilan-ilang bagay lang na bago.

Gaya na lang ngayon.

I was staring right back to Davion on my iPad screen. He's wearing the oversized black tee I got for him while sluggishly leaning on the headboard of his bed. I can tell that he's fresh from the shower. His hair was damp as if he already towel-dried it. Yung tipong patuyo na pero medyo basa pa. Like it's not completely dried up yet but it's not dripping wet either.

"How's your day?" his full attention was on me as he asked.

Ganito ang sistema namin sa mga araw na hindi kami nagkasama o masyadong nakapagusap. Today's a Saturday and I had a family matter during the day. I knew he was out with his friends too. At times like this, we would FaceTime at night just so we could talk. We didn't really made this a formal agreement, it just eventually became a thing between us.

"Usual," wika ko habang pinapahidan ng serum ang mukha hanggang leeg. My eyes were on the vanity mirror. Nakapatong ang iPad ko sa bandang kaliwa ng table. "The dessert we had during lunch was so good! I didn't catch what it's called but it sounds french. Magtetake-two sana ko pero pinanlakihan ako ng mata ni Mommy nang sumenyas ako sa waiter,"

"Really? Anong itsura? If it's a pastry, then I can just bake it for you. You can eat as much as you want without your Mom knowing,"

I described it to him and he listened attentively. He tried making guesses on what it was. I couldn't confirm any of it though. Itatanong ko kasi sana iyon sa nagseserve ngunit umingay na sa lamesa nang magsimula na naman sila Daddy na ibida si Ate sa ibang taong naroon.

Umikot ang mata ko nang muli na namang maalala. I can't help but vent to Davion on how suffocating it was to sit there and maintain a pleasant expression althroughout. I liked how he just willingly listened to me without trying to lecture me or say what I could've done better to save myself from that situation. Coz seriously, at times like this, all I need is someone that would share the burden with me, not any logical reasoning.

"You must be tired. It's been a long day for you," aniya nang maubusan na ko ng hinanakit. He sighed. "Mabuti pa siguro ay magpahinga ka na nang maaga.."

Pinakiramdaman ko ang sarili. Physically, I don't think I'm that tired. Plus it's still quite early. Pero siguro nga ay tama siya. Tutal ay wala na rin naman akong sasabihin at alam kong maglalaro pa siya.

I slowly nodded, magaan na ang pakiramdam matapos mailabas ang bigat sa dibdib. "Alright then.."

His tongue subtly played on his upper lip. Inabangan kong tapusin niya ang tawag ngunit hindi niya ginawa. Tila ba may hinihintay.

"My day was the same too, anyway." he sluggishly said, rather looking elsewhere. "May laro kami nila Elcid bukas,"

Dahan-dahan akong tumango nang may sumagi sa isip. "Right. Cal told me. Inaaya niya nga ko kanina sa chat. Para daw may taga-cheer ka bukas. Sabi ko, hindi ako mahilig manood ng basketball. I don't get it. You guys used to hate basketball before too. Simula lang noong sumali kayo sa liga to help Elcid ay parang nagustuhan niyo na,"

Lumukot ang mukha niya at umiiling-iling. "Wag mong pansinin yun si Cal. Sabi nga sakin ay ayain kita. Manonood daw kasi ang girlfriend nila Aysen. Hya will be coming for him and Einj will be there for Elcid too, kaya papuntahin din daw kita. Sabi ko ay wag ka nang abalahin. Chinat ka pa rin pala,"
